For some reason I woke up extra early today no longer upset from last night. It was Saturday, so I decided to go for a hike by myself and enjoy the beautiful nature.

"Mom, I'm going hiking," I said blankly as I put a couple of bottle of water and granola bars in my backpack, "so I'm gonna be gone for awhile."

"Is James going with you?" She asked as she continued reading her newspaper.

"No. I kind of just want this day to be about me. Just be alone," I muttered shutting the fridge, "oh! And can drive dads truck? It's too long of a walk if I do and I would be too exhausted after hiking," I said remembering.

"But I thought you didn't like driving the truck,"

I signed, "I don't but what any choice do I have? I don't have a car that I could use," I said a little miffed. I've had my license since I was 16 and now I'm about to turn 18 and they still haven't even talked about getting me a car. I mentioned it a couple of times, I even told them it is absolutely fine if they just get me something inexpensive, but they still brushed it off. Not to brag but my parents can afford a jet if they wanted to, they're just cheap. Well, my dad is not but my mom on the other hand though; I think it's because she's full Asian and Asians are cheap as hell.

"Fine, go ahead," she muttered. See? She didn't even acknowledge it. "Well when you get back I will be at work. So, here's some money go out with James or something,"

"Thanks mom," I hugged her. Even though we have our issues about our family sometimes I can't help but not stay mad at her. She only has me while my dad is gone. "I love you. I'll see you when you get home," I said leaving her now.

"Dammit!" I yelled, brushing the dirt off my spandex pants.

"Are you alright?" A man asked.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you,"

"You shouldn't be hiking by yourself in case you get hurt. If you'd like you can go along with us since it seems to me like we're all heading the same way," the man says. The first thought that came to my mind was 'they're going to murder me'. "Don't worry you'll be safe. We're not murderers!" He laughed, like he knew what I was thinking.

"Yeah, why not." I said after a second of thinking it over.

"I'm Trey by the way and these are my friends Nicole and Emmanuel," he introduced. Trey was a tall lean guy with blonde curly hair, bright blue eyes. Which I believed I have seen before. Nicole was as tall as me 5'2, she had perfect skin I wished I had, hazel eyes, and brown hair that was tied into a ponytail. Emmanuel was also lean with silky black hair, brown eyes, slightly chinked eyes like mine, and freckles which I have never seen before on Asians. Well up close anyways. All three of them are I believed in there 20s and are definitely in college.

"Hey," they both said in unison.

"I'm Khloe," I muttered as reached for a bottle of water out of my bag. We all followed a trail all the way to the top, I had a little trouble keeping up. They we're too fast, like they were trained to do this. However, it was all worth it once we made it to the top, the view was so incredible and breathe taking; made me miss James, since he was the one who took me here hiking to show me this place. But instead I'm here with some strangers.

"Are you in college?" Trey asked me.

"No, I'm a senior in high school,"

"Oh okay, because I was gonna say you look too young to be in college,"

I signed, "I wish, so I could move out already,"

"Trust me you don't want to. Way too many responsibilities!" Emmanuel interrupted.
