Logan did all he could to prove to Melody he cared about both her and their baby. Melody wanted to believe Logan loved her but she always kept brushing him off. He moved in with her so he could help out with certain jobs, he got a bigger place because he didn’t want the baby to be raised in an apartment and he attended all the doctor’s appointments with her
However, this didn’t make her see him any differently. Logan started to feel like Melody was taking him for granted. Anytime she tried to do something nice for her, he didn’t get as much as a thank you. The final straw came when he made dinner for her one evening. He made her a spaghetti dish which she had been craving since she became pregnant
He hoped Melody would appreciate his efforts so he made it exactly the way she liked it. However, when he served it to her, she took the plate from right under his nose and walked off into the sitting room. After dinner, Logan confronted Melody
He said to her, “You really do take me for granted, Melody. I try to be there for you and the baby and I don’t even get so much as a thank you. Next time, make your own spaghetti!”
Next morning, Melody met her mom at the airport. Melody’s mom brought her to a café for coffee and a chat. Melody’s mom asked her about the pregnancy and how Logan’s been looking after her. Melody complained that Logan was always trying to play nice with her. Melody’s mother was stunned she could talk about Logan in this way
She said to her, “He’s trying to show he cares about you and his baby. That man is trying to make things right with you. For God’s sakes, Melody! Logan loves you so much! Why did he get you your house? Why is he living with you? Why has he been looking after you since you became pregnant? Why does he come to your doctor’s appointments? Why does he do all the heavy work? Because he loves you!”
Melody took in what her mother had said to her. She realised how much Logan cared about her and the baby. She told her mom, “There’s something I need to do,” then went back home to see Logan only to find Logan had left
