You paced back and fourth through your living room, dialling Brian's contact over and over again for the past hour, all with no answer from the other line, just that same hopeful ringing. You felt a knot in your throat as you finally sat down on the floor. Of course Brian could just be out with friend, but he could also be 3 snorts into a bender and you hadn't even gotten a chance to tell him how you felt. It was your own fault, you had been so confused and so indecisive through the entire relationship. Maybe if you had just stayed at Brian's this wouldn't have happened, maybe everything would still be ok and you wouldn't be suddenly crying on the floor.

The raging down poor filling the city was slightly symbolic to your situation.

You had so much regret and you were so scared.

You had no solid proof anything bad had even happened, but with the length of time and panic from Trixie, you had only the worst expectations. Just as you were going to call Trixie back to report your lack of contact with Katya, the buzzer of you apartment sounded.

Wiping your nose and face on your sleeve, you dried your tears before making your way to the door, buzzing the person in before even checking who was there. It wasn't strange for Violet to stop by in the middle of the night and with everything going on, you wouldn't have minded the company of a friend either. You quickly made haste of trying to put yourself back together, Violet wouldn't be a bitch if you were really upset, but she still wasn't the most comforting person in the best of times. Soon enough there was a knock on the door, a gentle one however- much more shy than Violets- Paul was even a bitch when he was knocking.

You peeped through the peephole, only now realizing it was not your best friend at the door.

Any disappointment, however, was immediately replaced with relief and a wave of emotion.

You swung the door open to engulf Katya in the tightest hug you had ever given anyone. She was in full drag and your nose filling with the scent of her perfume. You held her so tight you weren't sure she could breathe, but you were snapped out of your bliss when she began to cry, wrapping her own arms around you.

You savoured the moment, keeping the consistent pressure over her fragile body as Katya nuzzled her face into the crook of her neck, her mascara tears staining the collar of your shirt.

"I'm sorry..." she sobbed, her voice muffled and her blonde wig in your face. "I was so fucking close, (Y/N). I almost ruined everything." The queen explained shakily, pulling away to look at you. Her makeup in disarray and tears falling down to her quivering lips.

You shook your head, gently stroking her back as you held her. "Don't be sorry. I'm proud of you. Your back here with me and still completely sober. Not that a relapse could make me less proud, but your stronger than ever, Brian." You hummed, your own lip shaking as you held back tears. She took in a shaky breath, nodding before you took her hand and lead her into the house, closing and locking the door behind her. "Go sit down, I just have to let Trix know your alright." You sighed, sending Katya over to the couch. She slightly hesitated before nodding and sitting down, almost reluctant to allow you to speak to the other queen.

(You) Katya just showed up here. I'll call you after I get her to bed.

You didn't wait for Trixie's response however. You just wanted to get back to Katya's side and after setting your phone down, that's exactly what you did. Your mind was a flurry of thoughts and your heart felt like it was going to pound out of your chest. You had to get everything off your chest and you were going to, but Katya was in such a fragile state at the moment that you decided to wait.

She needed you more than anything at that second and frankly, you needed her just as much.

"Can I use your shower, please?" Katya asked, looking at you through her still teary eyes. You nodded gently, gesturing to the bathroom.
