After a few days of recovering, with little to no incidents besides (Y/n) trying to cook for them... They took more time to recover after that.

They finally recovered from their broken bones and food poisoning. They sat together without the two demons who were chilling in the darkened room.

Sounds of wing beats caught their attention as a crow landed on Tanjiro's lap.

"HEAD TO MT. NATAGUMO!" yelled the crow making everyong wince.

They looked between themselves for a moment as Kimiko rose.

"HEAD TO MT. NAT-"

"We understand!" yelped Tanjiro.

The slayers were quick to change and leave the comforts of the home they stayed at. (Y/n) was not pleased to be back in the box, not one bit.

"We are leaving now," Tanjiro said to the old lady, whose smile remained unchanging. "Thank you for everything,"

Both parties bowed in respect. The old woman raised her hands to reveal two objects. "Now then, for good luck."

Kimiko nodded at the woman and began to use the flint and steel to create sparks to send them off.

"What do you think you're doing, old ag?!" Inosuke yelled, he then attempted to lunge at her. Kimiko restrained him with one arm as the other one forced him to bow.

"What are you, a moron?!" Zenitsu yelled.

"What's happening?! Did Inosuke try to jump the hag?" (Y/n) yelled from the box.

"I apologize for my college's words and attitudes," Kimiko said sweetly, though her smile did not reach her eyes.

"She's striking sparks for good luck! It's a purification ceremony!" Zenitsu screamed. "Because we're going on a dangerous mission!"

The old woman remained smiling.

After Inosuke calmed down, the woman said "always live your lives with great pride, I wish you luck in battle." With nods of thanks, the group set out towards Mt. Natagumo.

"Great pride? Luck in battle? What does that mean?!" Inosuke asked.

Zenitsu and Kimiko both deadpanned at his cluelessness.

Tanjiro piped in "I guess it means to know your place and that you behave properly so that you're never ashamed of yourself."

"Huh?"

"And the old lady was praying for our safety,"

Kimiko sighed, as patient as she is... She could never have the patience to explain such things to Inosuke.

"So, what is this "place"? What do you mean, "never ashamed"?"

"Well it's-"

"What exactly does it mean to "behave properly"? And why the hell would that old hag pray for our safety anyways? She has nothing to do with us. Then, why?"

Tanjiro had now joined in with Kimiko and Zenitsu's deadpanning.

"Well, basically the "place" is how strong you are. Knowing when you can't beat someone. "Never ashamed" means to not pick a fight and lose. "Behave properly" is knowing when to pick a fight, and praying for our safety is simple. She's too weak to defend herself so she needs us to live so we can protect her." (Y/n) explained.

Inosuke looked like he was shown a whole new world. "I see! That makes sense, Monjiro should explain like you (Kim/n)!"

---

Finally arriving at the mountain, immediately Zenitsu and Kimiko picked up creepy and strange vibes from the mountain. Promoting Zenitsu to sit on the ground and cry. Everyone deadpanned.

(Y/n) kicked the box open and jumped out, she stretched her entire muscles.

"True it feels creepy but it makes zero sense to sit here and do anything," Kimiko turned towards the mountain. Everyone stiffened as they noticed something. Kimiko started forwards, pulling out her blade.

Soon a figure came into view. A demon slayer lay on the ground, the demon slayers ran forwards.

"Are you okay?!" Tanjiro asked. Before they could respond, the male was pulled up into the air.

"They were attached to me too! Help me!" the demon slayer yelled. Kimiko watched the demon slayer disappear, she instantly launched herself after him, and (Y/n) followed behind.

Quickly Tanjiro and Inouke rushed after them. Zenitsu was left there. Alone.
