using nirvash neo i returned to NERV HQ when we landed we were swarmed by guards from the japanese military which i wiped out quickly with neo's onboard weaponry i chose to call the unit what my son called it after they were wiped out i grabbed my med kit to find a still bleeding misato yui was close behind me she took the med kit from me and nursed misato's wounds
"shinji what happened" she asked
"you'll hopefully understand soon, we were rescued" yui said
"gendo will mostly be in terminal dogma we will go there first" i said yui nodded as i let misato lean on me we eventually got to terminal dogma
"yui" he breathed she was outwardly calm but inwardly fuming
"we shall talk privately later, ritsuko put the gun down it won't do any good, we are going to central dogma to explain the situation" yui said the three nodded for rei was also present
after heading to the central dogma everyone sat down
"alright to start off i am but am not shinji ikari" i said
"what do you mean are but are not" asuka asked
"to put it simply, i and shinji ikari merged into one person" i said
"how and why" misato asked
"why, well the same reason gendo ikari acted the way he did to save the woman i love or loved i am not sure anymore the side affect of merging with your shinji ikari is that i have changed personally i have gained his memories his feelings, as to the how well that becomes more complicated, i actually did not choose this path it was chosen for me" i said
"the unit we brought here has an AI we will call it named truth it is a sentient being like you and i and it has one goal, the same goal as rentons" i said
"so your name is renton then" asuka asked
"renton thurston was the name i had before merging with shinji i intend to take a new name and identity to respect the boy" i said they nodded
"it's that powerful that it can merge people" gendo asked in shock
"by itself no, in fact it actually was manipulating it's significantly more powerful predecessor the nirvash which is powerful enough to do so" yui said
"why are you here telling us this if you only needed an EVA you could have just been on your way and forgotten about us" asuka said
"your right i could have, however, as i said i shinji ikari is apart of me i'd feel guilty if i just disappeared with no explanation whatsoever" i said
"so what is your goal" misato asked
"i'm going to rescue eureka all of this is to save her, after that i honestly don't know you see shinji ikari wasn't the only soul i merged with i merged with a third that of a boy named jaune arc his dream was to be a hero maybe i'll accomplish it but since i am a person formed from three different individuals i honestly don't know what i want" i said
"hmph at least you aren't trying to live up to the expectations of being all three at once" a voice said as red gauntlet appeared on my arm
"hello partner, i am the welsh dragon ddraig, the red dragon emperor" ddraig said
"uh hi" i said a tad confused
"it will be explained later, i can speak with you while you sleep, we'll talk then my power will be useful and required for truth's plan but i am one of three sacred gears that you have access to" ddraig said
"truth, what's that got to do with anything" asuka demanded
"it's the name of the AI yui spoke of it's name is truth" i said
"so your leaving then" misato asked i nodded
"i have the means to get wherever truth is needing us to go, so after this meeting i intend to find shinji's friends explain it to them as best as i can before departing"
"hmm, maybe we could be of assistance then" gendo said
"you, help me, that would be a surprise you manipulative bastard" i said
"you gave me the one thing i wanted, i shall repay you in kind also i believe that no matter what you are at least partially our son meaning yui will wish to go with you, and where she goes i will follow" gendo said
"and what assistance can you provide" i asked
"we have another two EVAs i am sure this truth will take the extra units for whatever this plan of his requires, and i know where you can find a willing pilot who will happily volunteer for this little adventure of yours" gendo said
"hmm fine" i said
"i'm going" asuka said
"as you wish" i said
"i think all of us can say we are going as well" misato said getting a nod from the central dogma team
"sure" i said
"then when do we leave" asuka asked
"after i talk to kensuke, toji, and hikari, they have a right to know as well, and it's not like it matters as for seele well i have theEND they will be wiped out quickly" i said with a smirk i then got up
"i'd suggest you get what you need and start packing i'll get ray and charles to get to their LFO's we don't really have transport crafts at present" i said
