Padding back to the ThunderClan camp, Nightpaw couldn't help wondering how life was in the other Clans, especially WindClan. Sure, she was disgusted at Blazepaw, but she hoped that he wouldn't get too badly hurt, either. Looking back, she realized that Rosepaw had been her best friend the whole time, always looking out for her and enjoying their fun times. Maybe it's time to tell her.

"Rosepaw, can we stop for a moment?"

"Sure!" came the cheerful reply.

"I have something to tell you," Nightpaw took a deep breath and stared into her sister's eyes. "Long ago, when we were kits, I was told of a prophecy."

Rosepaw suddenly turned serious and her eyes became wider. "A prophecy? Great StarClan, you must be important!"

Nightpaw nodded, satisfied with the reply. She knew Rosepaw would know when she was serious and was telling the truth. "It was an ancient prophecy, the one that saved the Clans from the Great Battle."

"There will be Three, who will hold the power of the stars in their paws," Rosepaw quoted. Then she exclaimed, "Nightpaw, you're not one of the Three, aren't you?"

"I am, but there's more: Ivypool told me that the Third, which is me, will find the Second, and the Second will find the First. But I haven't found either of them yet, and now they're urging me to do it! I don't even know where to look!"

"I could help you find this mysterious Second," Rosepaw offered. "We can take turns to observe our Clanmates and see who seems the most likely."

"I don't think the Three would be only in one Clan. It's not like the old times anymore, Rosepaw. Things have changed, even the warrior code!"

"Then we search the Clans," meowed Rosepaw. "I'll go search WindClan and RiverClan. You can search ShadowClan and SkyClan."

"Are you sure?" Nightpaw asked doubtfully. Spying in other Clans' territories was the last thing in her mind.

"Well, it is risky, but otherwise how do we do it?"

"We could chat with the apprentices at Gatherings and find out more about them!"

"Yeah, and wait a whole moon for them to turn up. Spying on them is the only option!" Rosepaw rolled her eyes.

Suddenly, the leaves on a nearby tree shook and a small kit fell from the sky.

Gasping, Rosepaw rushed over and the kit fell onto her back.

"How in StarClan did you climb that?" she exclaimed and she huffed as the kit sprang away from her.

"All cats climb trees, don't they? By the way, do you know you smell funny?" the small kit squeaked.

Nightpaw limped over and sniffed the kit. SkyClan!

"Are you from SkyClan? Because you're very  far away from home," she meowed.

"I am?" mewed the kit as he realized the unfamiliar forest and shrank back. "Wh-where am I?"

"You're in ThunderClan," said Rosepaw. "Don't worry, we're just apprentices, we're not going to eat you."

"Nothing can eat me! I'm the strongest kit in the whole Clan!" boasted the kit.

"Of course you are," purred Nightpaw. "What's your name?"

"I-I'm Sneezekit, but don't laugh," he warned. "One day, I'll be the strongest warrior in the Clan, and all my siblings will see that size doesn't matter! Lionblaze taught me-- oops," he looked around frantically, as if scanning the forest for a place to hide in.

"Did you just say Lionblaze?"

"I-I yes, but," Sneezekit met Nightpaw's gaze with a pleading look. "Please don't tell anyone else, they'll laugh at me."

"We won't," the apprentices promised.

"Well, I was informed of a prophecy, and Lionblaze told me I was one of the Three. Now I'm training with him in my dreams to become the best warrior now! But of course, you won't think I'm telling the truth, don't you?" he gazed sadly at the grassy floor.

"Lift your head up, young Sneezekit, we believe in you," soothed Nightpaw.

"You do?"

"Yes, I do. In fact, I am Nightpaw, the Third of the Three. Looks like we've found our Second."

"You-You're the Third?" he said weakly. "B-but I'm in SkyClan! I- can I stay in ThunderClan?"

"Well, it's getting late, so just for one night," said Rosepaw. "But just  one night. Our brother went to WindClan and he never came back. He even attacked us on the way home."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Sneezekit sympathized.

"Let's take you back to camp, hopefully nobody notices," announced Nightpaw. Rosepaw grabbed him by the scruff and the three cats padded back to camp.

Back in the ThunderClan camp, Myrtlebloom and Brightpelt were guarding the ThunderClan entrance. Sneaking past them around the ThunderClan camp, they found the back of the apprentice's den and found a gap there. Before they went inside, though, Rosepaw and Nightpaw masked Sneezekit's scent with some strong smelling leaves and herded him into the den.

Nightpaw burrowed deep inside her nest and hid Sneezekit inside, then left him and marched to the medicine den to heal her injuries from her fight earlier. She hoped nobody would discover the little kit.

Rosepaw had moved her nest to be closer to Nightpaw's, just to protect Sneezekit if anything happened. Lying in the medicine den while Baypaw treated her injuries, she thought about what the Three had to do to save the Clans. Maybe they would have another fight with the Dark Forest? Or would they embark on a long and difficult journey? Anyhow, all Nightpaw wanted was a peaceful life. She buried her head inside the soft mossy nest and slept soundly until the next day.
