"Hello Uncle Mew..."
"You are finally answering my call?"
"If not, you will send Mild and I don't want that. What do you want?"
"Come home for dinner... All of your aunts and cousins will be there."
"I can't."
"You can't or you don't want to?"
"Both!" NuNew spat.

He could hear his uncle sighing on the other end.

"We haven't seen you in months..."
"Isn't that... Normal?" NuNew stubbornly questioned him.
"NuNew..."
"I don't see why we have to start this... This... Family thing... I am good by myself Uncle Mew."
"You are the only memory that I have of my sister... I used to be so close to her do you know that? At least... Give us a chance?"

NuNew keep quiet.

"Fine... If you can't come today... I understand... But we will always be your family... I want you to know that." Mew told him.
"We are not the... The Keerati NuNew..." He added.
"But I am Keerati... I have their blood." NuNew whispered.
"You know that does not mean anything... You are you." Mew asserted.
"I heard you told Mom many times that you hate the Keerati..." NuNew told him.
"And Uncle Mew... Whether I like it or not... I am a Keerati... Even when I no longer use their surname."
"I didn't mean that I hate you too NuNew..."
"Maybe... Hey... Even my so called family... Doesn't want me... It's okay if the Suppasit doesn't want me too." NuNew argued.
"There were many things said between your Mom and I... But I always... ALWAYS love her... And whether you believe me or not NuNew... We care about you too..."
"Uncle Mew... I have to go... By the way... You don't have to send Mild to check on me... I am old enough to take care of myself."
"NuNew..."
"I also have enough money... And Mild doesn't have to send groceries here as well... And you don't have to transfer money into my account too."
"Those groceries are from your aunts... As for the money... It is the least I can do for my nephew." Mew told him.
"Your aunt said that those are your favourites." He added.
"I... I have to go." NuNew murmured.
"Alright... You take care... If you need anything... You know where to find me."

NuNew ended the call. He sighed and lay down his bed. His aunts did send his favourite food and snacks. He had no idea how they knew about it. He stared at the ceiling and wondered if he was being an awful human being for ignoring his aunts and uncle. The only blood family that seemed to care about him. Zee's words swirled in his mind. You can find your own family. His kind and deep voice was still vividly remembered by NuNew. He sighed and started singing More Than Words. He loved the song. People at the café always requested that song to be sung by him. The few videos of him singing had garnered close to a million view each. The first video he uploaded had more than 2 million views. NuNew did not know how the videos became so popular.

Nigel seemed to be happy with the publicity that he had gotten for free. More customers came and that meant more profit for the café. NuNew was just glad that he had played a part in it. Nigel even promised to give him a fat bonus at the end of the month. He was also getting a little popular at his university because of the videos. He had been invited to sing in a few university programmes and he was glad to do it. He knew that he loved singing. He could play the guitar, piano and the drums. He thanked his late mother for forcing to learn all those musical instruments when he was young. He also thanked his late mother for forcing his father to set up a trust fund for him even when it was measly compared to his other older siblings had gotten; it still helped him to lead a rather comfortable life.

He could hear his father and brothers sneering at him for using their money. NuNew smiled bitterly as he was still a Keerati by blood and he was entitled to the wealth regardless. Nonetheless, he wished he could be independent of them and also be independent of the Suppasit. He needed to make money from somewhere so that he did not have to use any of his trust fund or seek help from his uncle if anything were to happen to him. NuNew checked the time and he had about an hour before the dinner Rutna had invited him. He was actually a little apprehensive. Her eldest son seemed to have a grudge on him and it was indeed understandable. Who would give a Ducati for someone him they just met? NuNew would not, he thought. Nat knocked on his bedroom door and he told him to come in.
