The sound of heavy metal music was heard across the room. In fact, the whole place was buzzing with noise; it seemed like almost every corner had a person who were partying as hard as they can while trying to stay in their own party space. There were loud shouts that echoed throughout the club and even some people's voices could be heard shouting “Fuck yeah!”.

The crowd was bigger than ever, livelier than ever. Of course, they can't miss out on hearing the melodies and tunes made by the band playing on the event called, "Mochizuki's Midnight Rock" held only on Fridays. The band was unnamed so the audiences only called them as  〔_Blank_〕.

The band is popular across the lively streets of Kyoto, Japan. It has three members namely, Hikotsune Sano, the drummer and leader, Tanaka Shigemitsu, the rhythm guitarist, and lastly, Hatsuki Mochizuki, the vocalist and bassist, and also the only female member of the band. After the arrival of the 'Party of Words', the group gained immediate popularity but disbanded a few months later for unknown reasons.

Following that incident, they went on with their lives. But that didn't stop the public from talking about them or even thinking about them, since the entire street still had the songs and songs written about them.

As time passed, the song 'Optimist' became an old favorite among teenagers; many young teens have tried to make themselves look cool by singing it just like how Mochi does. They would sing it at their house and it sounded very similar to what Mochizuki sings.

But most importantly, there was one person who listened to the same song more times than anyone else; he was the one who actually composed the song. He was no other than, Ramuda Amemura.

The girl hummed softly while listening to the music that resonated in her ears because of the headphones she was wearing. She was currently in Yokohama, taking a 'day-off' from her non-existent stable job.

Sighing for the nth time, she turned to a corner, when she bumped into a man who had a chin length white hair and red eyes with long lashes. He also had multiple piercings: black huggie earrings on both lobes, a black stud on his right upper lobe, a black industrial on his left and two helixes on his left.

He wears a white shirt with signature skull prints on the chest, dark blue pants and black boots. He also had a triangle-shaped necklace, and a black-and-white bracelet on his right.

She looked up at him in confusion and irritation, offended by the sudden interaction. When she met his gaze, she could tell that the feelings were mutual. He looked at her, "Whaddya lookin' at, ?! Scram!", he yelled at her. She gasped in disbelief after hearing the man. He was the one who bumped into her! It was quite bold of him. She was about to answer him when she suddenly realized that her name tag said "Gomi" instead of "Mochizuki".

This time he glared at her even harder. This time she did not respond at all. Instead, she walked past him and continued heading in the direction where she came from, while grumbling about this rude man.

When she reached the end of the alleyway she decided to take a short break. She took out her phone from her pocket and opened the gallery. A picture of her best friend, Nao, smiling at her made her laugh. Then suddenly, her smile dissappeared. 'If only, Nao-chan, was still alive....', she thought, her mind drifting into unpleasant things that happened in the past.

After a long day, she rode back to her hometown, Kyoto. Her mood was down, she was utterly upset. When she arrived at her doorstep, she knocked on the door 3 times before stopping briefly then 2 times. She heard a few clicks before the door eventually opened, revealing her 12 year old cousin, Yūsuke. He doesn't really permanently live with her. He was just here to visit her and accompany her as per the request of his parents because they said 'she was lonely'.

He greeted you and smiled before going to bring his laptop and headphones along with him to watch a movie.

She entered and headed straight to her bedroom. When she arrived at the door, her phone vibrated. She pulled her headphones out of her bag and saw that it was a text from Yozo; he wished her a happy birthday and told her that 'everything will be okay, I promise.'

She quickly responded before turning off her phone. She put back her headphones and placed her hands inside of her pocket. She stared outside of the window. 'Everything will be okay...', she repeated again to herself.

It was a bright sunny morning. Birds were chirping happily and everyone woke up to go to school or work. Hazuki woke up earlier than the usual and started preparing for her day. After getting dressed, she brushed her teeth, ate breakfast (which consisted of instant coffee) and went downstairs to get something to eat and drink while reading the newspaper at the living room table.

She then proceeded to make some toast and drank milk, finishing everything in the kitchen. She was planning on heading to her racket as soon as she's finished eating.

She heard footsteps coming downstairs. It was Yusuke. He woke up early too. Today, he was gonna go home to his parents because his back-to-school day starts today.

A knock was heard from the door. She checked who it was, only to find that it was only Yūsuke' parents. They came to get him. They bid her goodbye before leaving. She sighed before getting her bag. She recently got a job as a gym assistant but she thinks that it wouldn't be long until they for her because of her 'rude attitude'.
