Blind date

Chapter 3: Her rejection

It has been several hours since my kiss with Luna. I can't sleep and I can't stop thinking about Luna.  I hope she is not mad but who I am kidding she keeps ignoring me when we are on cleaning duty. She just said her thanks and goodnight and never looked me in the eye after that kiss. It's practically my fault I should have never kissed Luna but at the same time, it was the best decision I have made after our break-up.  I can't think straight when she is near and I ended up kissing her. My heart is beating fast when she kissed me back. After several toss and turns, I went downstairs to go to the patio to ease my mind.

"Can't sleep?" I asked Cami when I saw her in the patio watching a rom-com movie. I sat on the other couch waiting for my sister's reply but ended up with nothing so it means she's already asleep. It's normal for Cami to sleep in the patio especially when they are watching a movie. "She's asleep?" I just nod to Nash's question. He probably went to the bathroom when I arrived in the patio. Nash is Cami's boyfriend since high school.  He's Cami secret boyfriend way back then. At first, it's hard to accept that they are dating because Nash is my enemy in the court (he is from the other school) way back elementary to high school. Imagine seeing him after a year after graduating from high school and I saw him holding hands with my sister.

I just watched how Nash takes care of Cami and he's very patient when comes to my sister. Like now, I think they are about to sleep he moved Cami to his side to let her sleep comfortably. He laid down for a few minutes hugging her and when he knew she really is fast asleep he kissed her and carefully leave the couch. He got up and get some beer in the mini refrigerator and gave it to me. He signal me to go outside the patio so we will not disturb Cami's sleep.

"You do know that Cami is very important to me and will do anything for her, right?" Everyone in our family knows that. All of us treat him as a family especially my parents when the time I studied abroad for college, he always accompany them and he is always there for Cami, my parents and me as well. "I want you to know that I will be proposing to her soon." "Wow! Cami will be thrilled. I'm happy for you guys." "Thanks bro. You are the first person knowing the proposal." "Seriously! When will you tell mom and dad?" "Soon." "I'm just curious isn't our parents should know first about your plan?" He just laughed and drank his beer while looking at my sister.

"Cami is really upset when we first got together because she is scared of your reaction. In fact, Cami rejected me several times because of the fact that she doesn't want to hurt you. When you saw us together that day, she cried so hard because we lied to you and you felt betrayed. Fast forward, now you accept us I want you to be the first one to know that I'm planning to propose to your sister." I'm practically speechless because 1st-2nd year of uni every time I come home to visit for holidays, I never acknowledge him  while Cami and I didn't talk for days. My parents basically let us stay in one room to be able talk because it was our biggest misunderstanding.

"Thank you and sorry for punching you that day." He just laughed about it. We just talked about our past when we are pissed to each other and who have thought that he will be my brother-in-law. "Cami told me about Luna's blind date. What are you planning?" I was about to reply when we heard Cami calling him. Nash immediately bid his goodnight and went to Cami. I just finished my beer and went up as well and finally I feel tiredness and sleep.

I woke up because of the smell of freshly baked bread made by my dad. He loves making different kind of pastries for all us. I was feeling hungry so I went to the bathroom and do my thing before going downstairs. I can feel that we have guests over probably Luke and Lucas because my dad messages Brandon (Luke, Lucas and Luna's dad) every time he will bake some goodies. As I was entering the kitchen, I didn't expect Luna. She was there with her whole family chatting with one another. My mom saw me and give me my breakfast. I sat beside Luna because that is the only seat available. "Hi." "Good morning Calvin." She said then proceeded to talk to Cami. 

Breakfast came fast and Luna left with Cami because they will be going to the mall for their mani pedi. I talked to Maria and asked about Luna's blind date because normally I knew the guy somehow. After knowing the name, I messaged Nash to come and meet me. I prepared all the things needed, talked to all the people that are needed to involve. Now, I just need to wait and see if this will work. All of my plans before worked but now I'm not sure especially if Luna will be the one agreeing or not.

"Bud, how are you?" I waited for his response then without further ado said my plan and the guy just laughed and agreed to help me but in one condition but I agreed anyway anything for Luna. I bid my goodbye to my parents that afternoon and went to my condo to leave some of my stuff and just parked my car near the restaurant. I don't know what to expect but I'm hoping for a good result for tonight. Honestly, I'm tired of  pretending I'm okay despite the smile and laughter. I feel jealous when I see Cami and Nash because I knew in my heart I want that kind of love. I already experience that love but I need to end it because we are too young. I'm practically thinking of marrying her that young and have a family with her but when I saw her happy talking about her dream who am I to hold her back. I want her to experienced the world without me because when we make our relationship work during that time I knew it will be hard for us.
