Blind date

Chapter 8: Both sides

Luna POV:

Me and Cami are both in the kitchen duty to prepare some salad. Cami is silent for the whole time.
I feel guilty because we never had secrets except our respective secret relationship.

"I'm sorry/Sorry." We just laughed and hugged each other. "I'm sorry for not telling you this whole
time that Calvin and I were in a relationship." "Sorry for slightly being angry because I felt
somewhat betrayed by my brother and bestfriend." "I understand Cami and from now on no more secrets." "Okay. Let's have a sleepover in your room later and tell me about your relationship with my brother." I blushed and Cami teased me about it the whole time.

For a few minutes, me and Cami just chatted some random stuff and suddenly she nudged me to talk to my mom and Aunt Ashley. She bid
goodbye to help my brothers prepare the table.

I went near my mom and hugged her behind and put my chin on his shoulders overlooking the sauce she
was making. "Sorry mom and Aunt Ashley." "It's okay Luna. I was shocked but at the same time not
because I knew the fact how much my son adores you. Maybe shocked because both of you were able to
keep your relationship a secret for years." "I love your son so much Tita." "I know. Both of you
are practically glowing. I will leave the both of you to talk."

"Mom, sorry. Are you angry?" I'm
still hugging her and she is not speaking to me. She kept removing my arms in her belly but I'm
not budging she ended up tapping my hands. She turned off the stove and looked at me her eyes are
misting and about to cry. "Mom, don't cry please. I'm so sorry." She just smiled and hugged me so
tight. "I'm so worried and can't sleep yesterday anak. I'm waiting for your call to know your
whereabouts." "I'm so sorry Mom." "Please next time always update me and your dad regardless of time
and the place is okay." "Yes Mom. I love you." She just laughed and said it back.

Calvin POV:

"Cami is probably upset with me. She will surely forgive Luna easily." I was talking to Nash while
We are heading to our house to get the pastries and ice. "She already knew." "What?" Nash just scratched
the back of his head. "She heard one of our conversations before regarding Luna's blind date and she
asked some questions so I answered her. Sorry, Calvin but she kept her promise that she will not tell
anyone." I'm quite relieved that my sister already knew and she respected Luna and I do not
talk about it and wait for us to tell her when the time is right. "It's quite a relief that she already knew about us. I'll just explain to her as soon as possible." "Thank you, Calvin. I hate keeping secrets from your sister." "It's okay Nash. Thank you." "Are you ready to talk to Tito
Brandon?" "Yeah. I hope he understands."

We followed my dad and Luna's dad to our house. The oldies are talking about business and Dad
asked Nash to accompany him to the pantry to get the wine and ice basically signaling me to talk
to Luna's dad. I followed Luna's dad to the kitchen to get the pastries and beer. "I should be angry
with you that you broke my daughter's heart. You promised me Calvin that no matter what happens you will not let her down. My wife and I both knew that there is something between you two, probably even your parents."

"I'm sorry Tito for all that happened between Luna and me. I don't regret initiating the breakup, I want her to explore the world without me. I'm in love with her Tito since I'm 8 years old, we are always together and we became dependent on one another. I have wanted to marry her Tito since I'm 15 years old. I'm scared that eventually our relationship will be toxic or one of us will be sacrificing our dreams. I don't want to hold her back. I'm selfish that I didn't just tell the truth to your daughter."

"You are a good kid, Calvin. I can't be mad at you for so long due to the fact I also treat you as one of my sons. Stella and I are probably just disappointed that you kept this relationship a secret. Our daughter is so precious to us, Calvin. You will understand once you have a daughter. Please don't break my daughter's heart again." "Yes, Tito. I will never hurt Luna ever again."

"Thank you, Calvin. Come on please get the beer. I badly needed that." He smiled and tapped my back. "Give me more time before you propose to my daughter, okay." I just nodded and smiled due to the fact I had already give a subtle proposal to her daughter.

Luna's POV:

We are waiting for dad and the others in the garden. I'm nervous because when Cami asked the question earlier my dad was very ready to lunge at Calvin. "Anak, trust your dad." My mom knows me so well andI just smiled at her. Tita Ashley and mom are currently chatting while Cami and my brothers are playing some board games. I should be playing with them but I can't concentrate. I kept looking at the back door of Calvin's house. My dad is one the calmest people I know but a while ago I'm not sure.

I couldn't take it anymore so I stood up and was about to get something in my room. "Where are you going?" "Mom, I'll just light 1 cigarette." "Luna!" "Please, mom. I will not finish it. I promise just 5 puffs." "Fine, just 5 puffs, and please be back immediately. Spray some cologne and eat some mint after." My parents knew when I'm too stressed I lit a cigarette. I don't usually do it but sometimes I can't
help it. A very bad habit I got from my parents and normally we don't show it to each other.

I went up to my room and immediately hoped I still had an available cigarette on my bedside table. I saw one and lit it immediately and went to the balcony to release my stress and I hope 5 puffs is enough. It didn't totally calm me down but I promised my mom so I just laid down in my bed to calm myself. After a few minutes, I finally calmed down and decided to brush my teeth and put on some
cologne after. I'm wishing that everything will be fine and I need to trust Calvin and my dad and
everything will be okay.

I went down and saw they are almost complete, just Calvin and I are missing.They are all being noisy and chatty with one another. I can't help myself. "Dad, where is Calvin?" Dad is about to answer but I cut him off "Dad, I'm sorry. I love Calvin so much." Dad was quite taken aback and all of our family is gaping at my outburst. "I know Luna. Don't you trust your dad?"
"Sorry, dad. I'm scared that you don't approve of our relationship." "I don't want to hurt my daughter.
No more secrets and always update us." I nodded and hugged my parents.

I went back to my seat beside my brother Luke. I was kinda embarrassed because Calvin just got something from his car and I totally panicked and basically told both of my family how much I love him. I thought he left me but a few
minutes later he finally arrived and sat beside me. My dad told Calvin the embarrassing incident happened, he just laughed and held my hand. A few seconds later, "I love you too." The family was
taken aback again because of the two of us and basically teased us over dinner.
