a/n: hey mortals! another chapter down, gods know how many more to go! does anyvody else say 'gods' in real life, or is that just me? omg also i was listening to timber and like counting stars because 2014 vibes- YALL! also sorry for the short chapter. okay imma shut up now babes.
I looked at Thor, a deadly glare in my eyes. "Oh, you are so dead!" I told him. Sure, he was a god, but I was still going to kill him.
"Poseidon? Like the god from Greek mythology?" Steve asked. I looked at the team, Bruce had come down and Thor was whispering details to him. Tony, Thor, Bruce, Steve, even Clint and Nat; they've all been so nice to me, even with my crappy attitude. They deserved to know the truth.
I looked at them and sighed. "You want to know so bad; I'll tell you. But when you know, you can't tell anyone. Ahem, Thor, ahem." Thor looked flush and I began from a certain school trip all the way back in sixth grade.
-----TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY POP-TARTS-----
When I finished my story, they all looked stunned, except for Mr. Spoiler; Thor. After a minute or so, Tony finally spoke up. "I vote yes. He should be on the team." Everyone collectively agreed, and I was soon declared the newest Avenger.
Steve showed me to my new room, which was perfect. The walls were mostly covered with big windows that overlooked the city- but where there was wall- it was painted a brilliant cadet blue. The wooden floor matched it perfectly, and the sea green bedsheets gave a pop of color to the room. There was a big TV so I could stay up watching Pixar movies all I want. Did I mention that the room was the size of my old apartment? I stood there, awestruck. "Thanks," I said, "it's perfect."
Steve scoffed. "Don't thank me, thank Pepper. She'd the one who did," he waved his hand vaguely around the room, "this." We both softly laughed, and he let me be in my room, alone. I looked around my new home. A few days ago, I would have done anything to get out of my life, but now here I was. An Avenger.
I IM'D one of the few friends that I had left, Rachel. When I saw her in her cave, her back facing towards me, I called out for her.
"Rachel!" I said, through the IM. She immediately turned around and her face lit up.
"Percy! Oh gods, where have you been? We knew you weren't dead; Hades had told us who had died. But nobody knew where you were! Chiron was so frantic, and between you and me, I think Mr. D was even a little bit shaken up."
I dramatically gasped. "Mr. D? Over mwah? Perry Johnson himself? Well tell them that I'm fine, also..."
"Also...?" she continued.
"I'm an Avenger now." I said, with jazz hands. I explained to her the whole story and afterwards, she was dumbstruck. I explained a bit further, until she had to ruin our flawless vibe.
"Hey, have you seen Will?" Five words. That's all it took. My smile faded as I remembered Nico and all the pain I caused.
"Listen, I've got to go, bye." I said and swiped through the IM. Then I sat, alone on my bed. I punched the nearest wall with all of the force I had, which was a lot. Turns out, enough to put a hole in it.
"DINNER!" I heard Steve shout. I walked out of the room, my room feeling a new sense of belonging. I was an Avenger, and my home was Avengers tower.
