~Brainwash~ Emo Joe x Reader

I was just hanging out with Lee as usual trying to figure out this whole deal with Holger and Kimmy going out! It was crazy and Lee is on the theory it might be some kind of brainwash. I think its crazy talk, but a lot of weird stuff has been happening over the past few months, so the option of brainwash is not excluded. As I sit in the hall with Lee, talking about the prank song, as Emo Joe walked towards us. 

"Hey Y/N... Lee..." He greeted and glared at Lee. Of course, Lee just rolled his eyes and ignored him, seeing it was none of his business. "Y/N, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the mall..." He asked and looked away from me. I felt my cheeks heat up and I looked towards Lee. "Listen... Y/N... I know this request might sound weird... But please go with him, I will tell you later...!" Lee whispered to me, as my eyes widened. Before I could say anything Lee left.

I looked back at Joe and stood up. I didn't really want to, since I knew he was in the Down With Lee Club. I absolutly hate bullying, especially towards my friends. But I had to agree, since it might help Lee. "Um... Sure..."  I responded, which brought a smile to his face. Ok, it was quite adorable in my opinion. "I'll see you there after school..." Joe said and left as the bell rang. 

After school, I walked towards the school gate and saw Joe waiting for me. He spoke with Irwin, Ed and Robin, which I hated. I hated the three of them, due to the fact they were active bullies. I have no idea what Lee did, that would make them bully him. He already had detention for the entire year.

Joe waved goodbye to them and looked at me. He waved at me and we walked to the mall. I actually had a nice time. I felt his hand stroke against mine. I looked up at his pale face and saw a hint of pink on his cheeks. I don't know why, but I found it adorable. "So um... You like Boba...?" He asked and pointed to a boba stall. I nodded and smiled at the tall emo. 

He grabbed my hand and intertwined his fingers with mine, as he pulled me lightly into the line next to him. Was I actually getting feelings for this guy? No way! The line felt like it lasted forever. My heart beated faster and was practicly galloping away. 

We reached the end of the line and ordered our boba. All of a sudden, Joe seemed to look at me weirdly. "What...? Why am I here with you...?" He said, his voice with somewhat of disgust. I was so confused, when his cellphone rang and he answered. 

I felt my heart almost break and shatter into a thousand pieces... Was it really just brainwash...? He looked back at me and smiled at me softly. "So how are you feeling...?" He asked in his monotone voice. I gave him a weak, heartbroken smile and nodded. "Just fine and dandy..." I said and felt his cold hand on my cheek. 

"Stop lying... I know what its like... It's ok..." He said and my vision became blurry. Tears started to fill my eyes as I looked away from him. "Look at me Y/N..." He said and turned my face to look into his dark eyes. Even if he was brainwashed, it truly felt like he cared for me. He caressed my cheek with his thumb, his eyes full of care. 

I just hope Lee can figure this brainwashing out...
