Author note- Im so sorry I haven't written in a long time. I've been vary busy with life. I hope you like the new chapter!
A girl sat on the rock, her skin was pale for where Rollan had guessed where she came from. Her legs were very skinny. He guessed this was Niri. He guessed she came from hundred isles because of her name. Tasha gasped.
"Do you also have a spirit animal and is it one of the great beasts?" Tasha asked the girl, releasing Niani the swan.
"I do" The girl said in a quiet voice. Rollan heard movement on the cave's ceiling and looked up to see an Octopus. "And if you were wondering, I'm Niri"
Abeke looked up at the ceiling as well, but now the octopus had changed colors to not blend in with the background as if it wanted them to see it. "It's Maloup!" Abeke whisperd.
"Maloup has been keeping our location hidden from Zerif and his army" Shane glanced at them, with a serious look. "If we make him do anything then our spot will be known" Rollan was upset by this. Knowing that Maloup had the ability to talk with others mentally, Rollan was hoping that he would be able to contact Meilin. Oh, Meilin, I hope you are doing okay... Rollan couldn't handle thinking about her being hurt, c'mon she was like, the best fighter ever. She probably was doing better than them. Suddenly the ground shook. Niri's eyes flashed white fast. Maloup must have spoken to her.
"The Wyrm is hatching" Niri said as the ground shook once more.
If I spelled the octopus name wrong I am sorry. I also will not be writing from Meilin's perspective because that will be the same as the books. If you want to know what is going on in her side, read the REAL book. Thanks!
