Show Never Tell <Billie Eilish>

>Chapter one<

I knocked on the trailer door, and it flew open. "Hey!" He wrapped his arms around me tightly.

"Congrats," I said as he pulled away.

"I'm so fucking nervous."

"You'll be fine; you've got this!"

"What if I forget the words? Or fall, Or go on in my underwear?"

"Well, I'll make sure that last one doesn't happen." I laughed. "You've spent the last two months on tour, and none of those things has happened. You'll be fine, mark. I believe in you."

"This is just the practice. I'm not going to be able to do this tomorrow."

"Mark." I laughed. "You'll be ok; I'll be here to cheer you on, ok?"

"I don't know what I'd do without you." He hugged me again.

"Good thing you don't have to worry about that." I smiled.

"Let's go see the stage." I followed behind him, and I looked around, not recognizing anyone really.

"Hey." I heard behind us, we turned, and the girl who didn't speak to me smiled. "You're Mark?"

"I am." He smiled. "How's it goin?"

"Good, just wanted to say I love your work. You're going to go places; you're nowhere near the top yet. I could bet on it."

"Wow, that means so much coming from someone like you." She hugged him tightly.

"It's weird to say that because just three years ago, I was here, and Katy Perry was telling me the same thing." She laughed.

"You've come so far; I saw you perform then." He shook his head.

"Oh god, I hated it."

"You were amazing, and tomorrow you're going to kill it again."

"Thanks so much; I'll see you in the audience?" He nodded.

"Of course."

"Good, see ya later." She waved and walked away.

"We seen her perform?" I asked. "She's a bitch."

"Yes, we did, and no the fuck, she isn't."

"I bumped into her, apologized, and she just looked me up and down and walked away."

"Billie Eilish could spit on me, and I'd thank her." He whispered. I glanced up at her and rolled my eyes.

"She isn't God."

"No, she exists." I couldn't help but laugh. I jumped slightly when she turned around and caught my eye. "Come on." He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards a stage. I pulled out my camera and pointed it at us; he smiled and waved. "Hey!"

"Hey guys, we're at Coachella, and Mark is going to practice now for tomorrow."

"I'm fucking shitting myself." He said.

"I'm not changing you." I laughed. He rehearsed, and I sat side stage watching him and filming; when he was on his last song, I felt someone standing behind me. I tipped my head back, excepting it to be his manager Jessie but it was the girl from before. Billie. She stared down at me, and I felt locked in her eyes, and that really pissed me off for some reason.

"He's really good." She said, and I laid my camera down.

"He's amazing." I agreed.

"You look familiar." She said. I turned more to look at her.

"How'd you find his music?" I asked.

"My brother, his friend, is friends with him."

"Oh." I nodded.

"Are you from LA?" She asked.

"Unfortunately." She nodded, and mark walked over, starling me.

"I suck-" He said, throwing his towel down. "Oh, hi, I didn't-"

"You were so good, dude! Don't be so hard on yourself." Billie said, hugging him. I stood up and looked behind the stage where two guys, a girl about my age and an older woman, were standing.

"Billie." The older woman called.

"Yes, mom!" She isn't old enough to be billies mom? I let out a breath. We walked down the steps, and I recognized the girl.

"Claudia!" Mark smiled.

"Hey! Haven't seen you in ages." They hugged, and I just hung back, watching them chat. One of the guys put his arm around Claudia, and the other guy also dropped back as Billie shoved him lightly so she could be next to her mother.

"Hi." The guy smiled at me.

"Hi." I mumbled.

"Matthew."

"Esme." I replied.
