𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗼'𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘃:

I was on my way to ask Jackie out. I've always loved her but never got the courage to make a move. I decided to do it today.

I walked into school with Star by my side. I was gonna do it at the end of the day so if she rejected me i could just go home. I must of looked nervous cause Star asked if i was okay and i just nodded. She smiled and went off to some of her new friends.

𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗽: 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗮𝘆

I walked up to Jackie who was standing alone near her locker. I smile at her. "Hey um..can i ask you a question?" I ask nicely. She looks at me and nods. "Will you go...to the park tonight with me?" I ask since i chickened out. She smiled and said sure.

I came home and Star asked how it went. I told her and she was clearly trying to hold her laughter in. "What?" I ask. "You are such a mess Diaz. But thats okay, it suits you" she smiles. I smiled back at her and got ready to go see Jackie. Star helped me pick out a casual outfit that would still impress Jackie.

I went to the park and saw Jackie there skating. I went to her and joined her. We skated around and talked. I realised we didn't have much in common. But that okay because opposites attract...right?

As we were skating i felt the ground shake a bit and we both fell. (𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲. 𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶'𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼) I helped her up and we carried on walking to the exit. As she was about to leave i just told her to wait.

She looked into my eyes. Her eyes were the most beautiful thing i ever saw. I don't mean it in a creepy way but it was true.

"Wanna go out with me?" I ask. "I'm sorry Marco but No. You are a sweet guy but you aren't my type. Besides i thought you were with Star. You two are a greatly cute couple" Jackie mentions as she leaves. I stare at her wide eyes as she leaves me there.

I come back home and find myself in Star's arms not even 3 seconds later. She was comforting me. She was always there for me whenever i needed her and so was i for her.

I stayed in her arms for a few hours and just ranted to her about life. This doesn't really happen often. We don't usually just talk about deep stuff like this. We find it to awkward.

We both fell asleep eventually and i got lost in my thoughts about what Jackie said about me and Star. We were just really close. We wouldn't make a cute couple and we don't see each other like that...i think?

I thought about Star and started feeling funny in my tummy. I knew that only meant trouble. Was i falling for my best friend?
