Chapter 22

"Aren't you scared?" Jungwon asked,looking at Jay doe-eyed,worry etched in his gaze."Scared of what?" Jay asked back,moving closer to Jungwon to listen to him.

"There might not be a tomorrow for us,a war is coming afterall."

"What—if I might not see you again?" Jungwon stammered as he went on,as visible tears formed in his eyes.

"And why wouldn't you see me again?" Jay inquired,wiping the tears before they fell on the white sheets of the bed.

"Knowing the time we live in, tomorrow is never guaranteed,we never know,what if an assasin kills us in our sleep?" Jungwon replied.

"We—havent even—gotten married yet."

Jay smiled upon hearing Jungwon's words,his eyes forming into a smile,he has never smiled this brightly before,but his lover,his partner got it out of him.

"I promise to stay alive for you,I may not stay alive for myself,but I have someone to live for now." Jay murmured as he cupped Jungwon's face in his hands,gazing into his eyes.

"But—what if this is our last night together?"

"Then,we just have to make the most of it."

Jay began to unbutton his shirt,his hands gripping onto his white top."wh—what are you doing?" Jungwon asked, stuttering with each word.

"An advanced first night."

"WHA-WHAT?!!"

"Let's not sleep tonight" Jay spoke softly,as he leaned closer to Jungwon's lips.

"May I?" Jay asked.

Jungwon nodded in return,a smile etched on his face.

Jungwon's eyes drooped down to close as he too went closer to kiss his lover.

Their lips joined together,pressing gently,a mixture of lust and love.

Jay giggled in between their soft kisses,feeling overjoyed with this moment,he opened his eyes to see the face of Jungwon,his heart beated faster,as he gazed at Jungwon,his face beet red.

He grabbed Jungwon's arms,placing then on his shoulders,as they continued to kiss.Jay proceeded to lift Jungwon up,grabbing his waist,and placing him on the bed,now on top of him.

"What are you doing?" Jungwon said as he looked up at Jay,who was on top of him.

"You just look good."

Jungwon hit Jay playfully."What the heck is that cheesy line." He laughed.

The moon shined brightly on them."I—love you." Jay whispered in Jungwon's ear.Jungwon blushed upon hearing his words,his face was as red as a red rose.

But only words could come out of his mouth."I... love you too." He smiled at Jay.

And so they continued their act of love,showing how much they meant to eachother in a form of a kiss,a sweet 'i love you' under the white moon.

Sweetly whispering the word love in each others ear,they loved fully that night,not wasting any time to wait for a tomorrow that wouldn't be promised,atleast because of this,there would be atleast be something they could hold on to,a bittersweet memory they could remember.

"What shall we do master?"

"Attack the palace, tomorrow."Hyunjin said sinisterly,grinning at the moon as he looked out his window.

"It shall be my time."

"Mmm!"Someone from behind him mumbled,trying to speak up,but their voice was muffled.

"Now,now sister,it would be improper for you to speak, after blabbing your mouth elsewhere." Hyunjin grabbed the cloth that was covering yeji's mouth.

"Yeji,this is what happens,when you cross me,you should've just sit quietly and shut your mouth."

Yeji spit in her brothers face,her face beamed with rage."I'm ashamed to be your sister,you MONSTER!!"

Hyunjin slapped Yeji.Hitting her cruelly,making her cheek blood red.

"I'm taking you all down with me,we can meet in hell."

"You killed father!" Yeji screamed.

"Well,he deserved it.Did you think I'd keep him alive? After what he did to Mother? He's better off dead, atleast he's quieter that way."

"That old bastard talked too much,maybe you'll end up just like him, you take after him afterall." Hyunjin smiled,as he held Yeji's chin,smiling at her like a psychopath.

Yeji's eyes began to tear,she shook in fear,she knew her life wouldn't be guaranteed,but most importantly,what would happen to Niki?

The tears began to fall from her eyes as she shivered in fear,the blood from the body of her father that was in the room flowed under her chair,which made her even more uneasy,that she could throw up.

Hyunjin noticed his sister."Oh that?" He pointed to the body of their dead father."Wish you could've seen how he was killed." It was all Hyunjin could say.

"Sister, lets all bath in bloodshed today."

Jungwon and Jay woke up next to eachother the next morning."Goodmorning,you look good." Jay told Jungwon as he caressed his hair.

"You look good too." Jungwon replied.

Just then.Someone abruptly knocked on their door."Young master!!" Jay's butler yelled.

"Quickly go change." Jay told Jungwon,as he too buttoned up his shirt. "Come in." He said after both of them were dressed.

Mr.Lee was panting from shock.He stopped for a moment to catch his breath.

"The Duke—Duke Hwang has passed away!!"

Jay and Jungwon looked at eachother in disbelief.They had an idea of who was behind this,but were scared to own up to it.

Niki heard their conversation as he walked on the hallway."What?"

"What—WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE'S DEAD?!" Niki came up from behind Mr.Lee.

He grabbed the old man by the shoulders,shaking him."Please tell me that isn't true?" He begged him to lie.

But Mr.Lee couldn't utter a single word,Niki faltered.He dropped on the floor as he grabbed his forehead,feeling drowsy.

A tear fell from his eyes.No matter how cruel his father was to him now.The sweet memories of him from his childhood was all he could remember.The amount of times his father would take him horseback riding.The amount of love that he had felt.Even if it had disappeared,Parents are everything to their children.

He covered his mouth,as he silently cried on his own.Jungwon got up and went to Niki,hugging him.

"The-Then what about my sister?!?" Niki realized.

"Shit." Jay swore.
