I opened my eyes to the gleaming stars. Yes I know my intro sounds calm. Hi! My name is Clarissa! I am a mermaid, I know, WEIRD! By the way I am just sitting on a rock. I love counting stars a lot because its my passion! I like to shape things up a bit like a constellation! I just love picturing the stars! Well on goes my story now!
So, Me, here...no reason but to count the stars! I am just sitting on a rock staring, staring at what? THREE STARS!
I don't know what they make, but they seem to be blinking at me! I don't know why! I asked my friend Evie to stare at the stars."It seems to not blink at me."
"What? It should, I mean its blinking at me!"
"Well, it is in the sky, what do you expect?!"
"How about we switch places? At my angle, I see it, staring at me! And at your angle it-"
"Does not blink at me, or stare at me at all.""What? It should?!" I cursed profanities. "I mean it is-"
"You know what Clarissa." Evie said impatiently." You are such a weirdo. Stars are useless! You are useless! What does stars have to do with anything!"
"Actually it does, I seek those stars ever since I was born. Just three stars and the colors red, white, and blue and it has to mean something!" I screamed throwing my hands up in the air.
"Stop, you are annoying, you care more about the stars then me! That's it I don't want to be friends anymore! Also you can forget about attending to my sweet 16 birthday! And in fact, if I were you, I wouldn't attend to the birthday at all! I have better friends waiting for me at the twinkling well!" Evie swam after and dive deep into the ocean sea to Simtopia to which we both called home.
"Fine I don't have to go! I even have better friends too!" I lied. "My friends could probably help me and be better friends with a big heart unlike you!" I called out to Evie blinking back my tears. She stopped for split seconds and swam off.
"Stupid." I thought. After my closest best friend rejected me I have nothing left! I would think about suicide and that I wanted to do it, but my body says no, I am not brave enough to to do it, I don't have strength to even force myself to die.
A few minutes later, a huge ship came by. Oh no. I swam as fast as I could away from the ship. To my luck, my tail beamed in the moonlight twinkling like the stars, I was too busy admiring my tail to even realized my tail got tangled in the net. I wriggled and struggled against the net.
I struggled more, then noticed I floated up to the 3 beaming stars. I reached out wanting to touch the beaming stars. "Take me." I said to the stars. I then noticed a pair of eyes were set on me.
I looked down and noticed the fisherman, I was caught looking eye to eye at him. He looked up at me in shock as I looked at him in fear. He mumbled under his breath, "Beauty."
I wasn't sure what that meant, but then I got pulled back down and placed in a cage. I gagged and gagged, gasping for water. The boat started and the fisherman's father drove off to...somewhere.
He pointed up to the three stars, "They make a triangle shape pointed west, those colors red, white, and blue means the colors of the flag America." He smiled at me and tears of joy as he looked out into the vast sea "Welcome to America."
"America." I thought. Where are they going to take me? Also, when will I see water again?
