"Why are we going to America, Karen?" I waited impatiently for her answer. "Umm..Karen..why are we go-"
"Evie.." She mumbled. "Evie?" I repeated.
"We need to save Evie." She explained. She swam faster as her blonde hair caught in my face. Oh and, I forgot to tell you this, we mermaids have the power to morph into a mermaid and a human anytime.
I feel like we will need to use our power soon. "Save her from what?" I asked, after 5 minutes of silence. "She is in America, but she doesn't know how to act like a human." She explained.
I nodded my head. Far ahead, I saw shore a few miles away. We swam even faster, making us arrive at shore in 3 minutes. When we went to the sand, we morphed into a human right away.
"Ahh!" I tumbled and fell on the soft sand. "I don't think I know how to use these sticks shooting down from my belly." I explained. Karen lended me a hand, I grabbed it and tried to stand up.
"Those are called legs, at the bottom of your legs are feet." She explained pointing to them. "Okay, I think I get what they are." I said. I pushed my arms off of Karen's shoulders, and struggled to stand up. After a few more falls, I got the hang of it.
"Let's get moving now!"' Karen hissed. I walked side by side by her. "How will we find Evie?" I asked as we stepped foot in a bustling city.
"She has brown hair and white skin, remember that." She replied. "But, there is a lot of humans with brown hair and white skin!" I pointed out.
"Then let's shout her name." She suggested. "Evie!" I shouted. "Evie!" Karen shouted. I was going to shout once more but noticed a girl with long brown hair and white skin pass by.
"Hey, stop!" I called out to the girl. She obeyed and stopped. I ran up to her. "Are you Evie Cam by any chance?" I asked her. "Yes.." She said hesitantly.
"Do you know two mermaids named Clarissa Bee and Karen White?" I asked. "Yes, I do." She admitted. "Karen we found her!" I hollered to Karen. She came running over to me. "And who are you guys?" The girl asked.
"I'm Clarissa Bee and this is my friend Karen White." I said pointing to myself and Karen. "What are you guys doing here?!" Evie said as she realized who we were.
"To Save you from this disastrous place you call America!" I said with a 'duh' tone. "It's quite nice here though." She said as she looked around the busy city.
"Ahh!" I whirled around and saw Karen falling down a hole, that appeared on the ground beneath me.oh no.
I fell down the deep dark black hole, everything appeared all black, I startled to see the light beneath me getting closer and closer, and then as I went through the light everything turned all white. I couldn't open my eyes as I heard the fainting voice behind me, " Clarissa!" It echoed in my head, I had no thoughts at all. Nothing.
