Monday, the bell just rung and as always I'm running late. On my way to sixth period, I see Doug coming from Mr.Armijos class.
"Hay". He says with a smirky smile on his face".
"Hay, how've you been"?
"It's been good, but..... I was meaning to ask you if you wanted to go somewhere after school"?My skin shivered as he spoke those words. My eyes widened and my heart pounded.
"I would love to", I said automatically, with a huge grin.
"Ok it's a date, I would love to stay and talk but I'm going to get late to my class, one more tardy and I'm getting another referral".
"Where do I meet you at".
"Besides the blossom tree at the park, I'll be waiting for you".
Doug starts to run to his class, and I go inside of mine remembering that I supposed to clean up the school pod today.****
"Where is that stupid tree Doug told me to wait for him at", I murmured to myself.
In the distance I saw it, a tall tree with beautiful pinkish flowers. It seemed as if it were there for a long time. It seemed to know many things that I had no clue about. Behind it I saw Doug, wearing a plane black shirt and some dark blue jeans. I loved how he dressed, he has his own unique style that fits perfectly with his long hair.
"There you are, I've been looking for you", I said with relief.
"For a minute there I thought you weren't coming".
"Would you mind"?
"Of course I would, I know I have only talked to you for about a week but, I see something different in you. I like you".
( my cheeks start to blush )Doug wraps his hands around my waist and pulls me closer to him.
"So where are we going", I say with a trebling voice.
"Where ever you would like to go". He said with a sweet and soft voice that made me get goosebumps.
"Where ever I want"?
"Yes....Unless you want to stay here". He pushed me closer to him still with his hands wrapped around my waist.Doug slowly leaned in aiming for my mouth, but as soon as they connected I pushed him away.
"What's wrong", he said with a confused face.
"I'm sorry, I'm....."I don't know what happened to me, but I knew it was best to leave before this got more awkward than it already was.
"Daysia wait! I didn't mean to, I understand, Daysia"!
I liked him, but I didn't want to kiss, or make out with somebody that wasn't my boyfriend, and Doug was only a friend.
