Subject:Signing up for Drama Club
Hi Miss.Raine,
I was wondering if I could sign up for Drama Club today even though it's the middle of term?
Many thanks,
Katt Evans

As I trudged to Drama Club, I saw Daniel Williams, someone La and I had had a crush on for forever. Now La was dating him, and I knew Daniel wouldn't notice me, so I just sighed and kept forcing my feet to walk, for Heaven's sake. I didn't know why I was joining Drama Club, but deep down inside me I knew it was probably because La was there, which meant a chance to reconcile our relationship. I really wanted this to work - I'd missed her so much going through my teen years without her.
My phone dinged with a message:
Michaela Curtland
Can see you out Drama Club window. What are you doing?!?!?!?!

What was her problem and how did she still have my phone number? I'd deleted it as soon as I realised she hated me all those long years ago out of initial hatred.
Then I received yet another message:
Daniel Williams
Hey Mich. Where r u???? x

What?!
Then yet another ...
Daniel Williams
Sorry. Wrong number. Who are you?

I sucked in a quick breath and gulped. Then I forced my fingers to type.

I think I'm in your Science class? That's alright. Have a good dayy.

I didn't even realise my typo until after I sent it - my fingers were shaking so badly all of a sudden.
Anyway, I kept shuffling on to Drama Club after this, dreading when I would see La and Daniel. I shut my eyes and crossed my fingers so tightly I think I stretched them out a bit. Then I breathed in, held my breath and walked in.
