CHAPTER 4: WHAT IS HE?

me and tae usually sleeps together on Sundays. but today was different. he said that i can't sleep with him today. and the excuse was even funny. he said that, since today was their wedding, he is really tired so he may kick me me out of the bed in between his sleep. i just agreed and went to my bed and slept peacefully until, i remembered something. tae is really weird and strange. even tho we are like real siblings, there is something that he is hiding from me. the first thing is that i never saw him sleeping. on sundays, when i sleeps with him, i sometimes wakes up to drink water or to go to the bathroom, and when i looks to my side, his eyes would be wide open, and his eyes aren't sleepy at all. tae always says that he hates sunlight, and loves darkness. i noticed that his car's glass is black, so that it won't attract sunlight. and whenever he smiles, he hides his mouth. and also i noticed that he is afraid of blood. i think something is wrong with him. i should ask him.

i went to his bedroom, taking my huge teddy, he bought me, and my pillow. the door was opened and it was early morning. the sun is about to rise. i saw him on the corner of bedroom, hugging his knees being scared. he was slightly sobbing

"taehyung~ah what happened? r u okay? i came here cuz i was worried about you." i said being concerned about him, and caressed his dark brown hair, softly.

"c-close t-the c-c-curtain f-for m-me." he said panting, still not looking at me.

without a hesitation, i closed it for him. i sat on the bed looking down to my feet. he laid his head backwards to the wall, and loosened his grip from his knees, yet still panting, but out of relief...

"t-thank yo-" i cut him off

"what are you?" i don't know why or how that question came out of my mouth. i know that he is Kim Taehyung, and that he is a human and all. he quickly rose his head up, looking at me surprised. i was avoiding eye contact with him.

"guess" he said with a challenging tone without panting. suddenly mom called us to eat breakfast. he was about to get out of the door, but stopped

"you're right. I'm not a human." he chuckled and left.

i was still in shock. i didn't know that whatever he is, exists. 

i also left to have the breakfast... while eating, i was staring at him the whole time, but he was eating, not caring about anything. and he looked just as a human. mom looked at us.

"did you guys had a fight." mom suddenly asked, catching dad's attention from the newspaper he was holding.

"huh? no, i was just wondering that... ermm... why he looks so energetic, even just after a sleep."

they looked at me, frowning their eyebrows, and then slowly nodding afterwards. 

time skips~(at office)

it's been a week since i saw hana, in the office. it's weird, she didn't even ask for a leave. even if she did, through text, tae would've told me. on her absence, hana's sister, leena was working today instead of hana. she was innocent, and sweet, unlike her sister. she was always charming, but today, she looked really sad. i decided to ask her.

"leena, are you okay dear?" i asked patting her shoulder. she quickly break down into tears and hugged me tightly. i let her cry all she want.

"what happened, tell your unnie." i said, making her face me, by holding both her shoulders. she wiped her tears away and said:

"h-hana is m-missing." she said making me shocked.

"how? what happened? tell me everything." i said, sitting in the couch with her near the reception.

"she said that Mr. kim(tae) called her for a date, and left the house. she told me to not tell our parents about that. she said that she was going to the cafe near our office. i waited for 3 hrs for her, then i went and check the cafe. but the cafe wasn't open that day. i got tensed, so i tried to call her but she didn't answered. so i decided to text Mr. kim. he said that he didn't even called hana for a date. and since i couldn't tell our parents, i lied to them saying that, she went on a vacation to Jeju island..." she said sobbing. i rubbed her back

after that, i went to tae's cabin, and opened the door harshly, grabbing his attention. he looked at me with a slight smile.

"where is hana?" i asked him with an attitude, folding my hands.

he also folded his hands and acted like he was thinking.

"probably taking rest at her house. go and ask her why are you asking me anyway." he said trying to get away from the topic. i slammed on his desk, hard.

"don't play with me. i know you did something to her. WHERE IS SHE?!" I said yelling at him.

"k. fine. you caught me. but i did for you. i always notice, how she hurts you by saying hurtful words. she even called you a slut. and we both know that she tries to seduce me and i hate it. i can't let anyone hurt MY sister. and she's not dead or anything. i hypnotised her. she said she won't hurt you anymore." he said, making my eyes softened.

"taehyung~ah, i don't know what you are, but i love you as my real brother. and ofc, a sister hurts when her brother did something bad. i don't care about what she says, even she calls me a slut, i know that i'm not that. k? please promise me, that you won't do this." i said almost tearing up. and i hugged him. he hugged me back...

so......... he is a .................................. vampire?!
