Chapter 76: Disciples of Justice Part 2

As the battle presses on Rosh, Irina, Dengo, a firebender, swordsman, and Arret engage a DOJ team. The DOJ troops consist of a spearman, swordsman, earthbender, waterbender, and duelist with dual swords. Arret shoots an arrow at the dual swordsman, but the DOJ duelist smacks the arrow aside.

Irina points up, "Look in the sky!" A swarm of men with metal wings and dark grey armor arises in the air. The wingmen scatter across the battlefield as they collide with different United Way and Fire Nation units. A marine firebender extends his arms and pushes a short beam of orange flames into the cultist swordman's chest.

The terrorist waterbender propels a water torpedo into a marine swordsman's face, the waterball explodes on impact and knocks the man back five feet. A wingman archer aims at Irina and fires at her with a rapid arrow. Irina rolls forward and Rosh punches three red-orange fireballs at the airborne warrior. The wingman glides right and another wingman flies across his left flank.

The other wingman has a sword and flies low before he slashes the marine firebender in half. Irina tosses her spear into the wingman's chest and he spins down into the sand. Irina rushes forward before she retrieves her weapon. The wingman archer charges his position and flings an arrow at Rosh's neck. The 31st captain rolls forward and pounds a beam of red-orange fire at the wingman. The DOJ air trooper glides right before Arret nails him with an arrow.

A DOJ spearman lunges at Irina but the marine spins left and then hops forward at the man's stomach. The DOJ spearman leaps backward then pounces toward the young woman with a diagonal swing. Irina rotates her staff as she swats the spear away from her then she blitzes forward and thrusts her weapon into the man's stomach.

Rosh kicks a red-orange flame at a waterbender but the man raises his arms and intercepts the shot with a wall of water. The water wall evaporates from the heat then the man extends his right hand and smacks Dengo with a water tentacle. The marine rolls three feet backward and drops his sword while a duelist with dual swords charges at Arret. Arret fires two arrows at the man, but he knocks them both away.

An earthbender flicks a wide square of stone at Arret but the spearwoman slides left before she tumbles in the dirt and drops her weapon. Meanwhile, the waterbender extends his left hands and pumps a barrage of ice knives at Rosh. The 31st officer dashes left and punches four red-orange flames at the man. The waterbender jumps in the air and hurls an ice beam at the captain.

Rosh rolls right then notices a DOJ earthbender across him. The earthbender stomps the ground and a shockwave of sand flies at him. Rosh dives left as he narrowly gets away from the attack. The earthbender looks to pin his opponent down but the teen rotates his body and kicks a beam of red-orange flames from his feet into the man's midsection.

The waterbender notices this and raises his arms to generate a 3-meter-wide ice ball. It takes all of the waterbender's energy to do this in the desert, but he does so quickly as he prepares to toss the object into the exposed captain. Irina looks up and notices this then tosses her dagger into the man's chest. The waterbender drops his ice ball on the sand and it breaks. The ice quickly melts to water from the heat of the desert.

Arret fires another two arrows at the dual swordsman as he begins to close the distance and bat them away. As they are just five feet away from each other, the man lunges in the air at her. Arret propels another arrow at the slightly more vulnerable opponent, but the duelist rotates his body and swats it with his right blade. As he soars down Arret fires a second projectile at him, but the man knocks it away with his left sword.

Rosh rotates his body and shoots a beam of red-orange fire into the swordsman before he falls to the young woman's position. The body flies several feet away as it begins to crumble into black dust. Irina reclaims her dagger and looks at Rosh. Dengo gets up and picks up his sword. Rosh: "Everyone good?" The marines nod and show determination.
