"Boss. What should we do? Leave or stay?"
"Stay," Chrollo responds after a second, completely painting over and disregarding his promise to you. Overwhelmingly, this is Hisoka's fault, and he made it no stranger to you that that was his goal. You can feel the bubbling of anger start to hit unwelcome in your gut as Hisoka's expression turns from one of boredom, to a prideful smirk. He got what he wanted, but at the expense of your fortune. He couldn't be happier.
You stand from your sitting position quickly, eyes wide with fury as you look at Chrollo - then to Hisoka before turning around and almost running out of the shelter, straight into the pouring rain. You find yourself back to where you choose not to remember - running away. That guilty, nasty feeling of betrayal and confusion sitting on your chest, making it hard to breathe. Chrollo knew. He knew that if you stayed you'd be in danger. He can't save you from what will be and he can't alter the future, knowing how painful it will be. But no matter how much you try to justify it, nothing can erase the feeling of him reassuring you so tenderly minutes before completely and plainly going against his word.
Now you're not sure you can trust him, and you're not sure where you're going. Home before Yorknew was wherever Hisoka was, and home in Yorknew was just... with Chrollo. Wherever he was, you were sure to be near. But now, you're alone under angry rain clouds, assaulted by the onslaught of cool rain over your heated skin. You swear you could feel the water sizzle and bead down your face from your red-hot anger.
You take one step - then another, and another until you break out into a harsh sprint, kicking up muddy water under your feet as you run wherever they'll take you.
Back in the hideout, everyone notices your reaction, but nobody dares speak about it. Not yet, at least.
"Don't pay her any mind." Chrollo crosses his legs, mind wracked around how and when they'd confront the chain user. He doesn't realize he's broken a promise, and doesn't pay attention to personal affairs as his Troupe begins to prepare for battle.
"She seems upset." Hisoka murmurs, not loud enough for the entire group to hear, but just loud enough that it grazes past Chrollo's ears.
"I said, don't pay her any mind." Chrollo looks back to the magician, his voice dipped lower than it was before.
"A madwoman is only as mad as her keeper."
"You may leave if you cannot follow simple demands, Hisoka."
Hisoka chuckles, holding a single hand up in mock surrender, ending the conversation almost as soon as it started. He wanted to know where you've run off to - wanting to stop you before you do anything rash. But, right now, he was deadset on staying at the temporary shelter. He needed to fight Chrollo above all else, even if it meant losing you.
However, if it was his duty to lose you, he at least wanted to keep tabs on you - making sure you're safe, as angry as you might be. So, he stands up from his seat, venturing into the back hallway, phone clutched tight within his fist. There was only one person who he needed to call. A simple text message wouldn't do.
"You're not busy right now, I presume?"
'I might be. What do you have planned?'
"Our sweet, sweet hare has run off again."
Illumi pauses for a second, not knowing if he wanted to take this on with you. He had to help you escape last time, and he doesn't want to do it again. Not when Hisoka could catch on - it'd surely end in a fight, but it's nothing he couldn't simmer in due time.
'Uh-huh.'
"I suspect you know what I'd like for you to do."
'Are you to pay me?'
