So here are the warnings about what this story (might) contains:

- spoilers
- bad (?) language
- slightly Lemon! (yeah, again!)

You've been warned ;)

Here comes Part 14.3!

[Y/N] = your name
[Y/EC] = your eye colour

You looked at Lavea and her little lizard creature "Nardin". You could clearly feel how the looks of the others seemed to bore into your back...

>>I have no idea what you're talking about, Lavea. I've never had a nature spirit.<<

>>Bullshit.<< She put her animal back on her shoulder, crossed her arms again and slammed her feet on the table. The glass fell to the floor that was just standing in front of her and broke.

>>Don't talk to [Y/N]-chan like that!<<, Bepo growled and stepped forward angrily.
You were surprised to see the otherwise calm Bear Mink so upset.

>>It's okay, Bepo.<< You patted his hand gently. Of course, you hadn't missed Law's tighter grip on your hip when Lavea acted like a pleb.

>>You must have one. And he or she still has to be alive. Because when the nature spirit dies, one dies too. It's a pact of fate. You can neither escape it nor get rid of it again. Only death and the passage into the soul world can break the covenant.<<

>>S-soul world?!<< Usopp was all eyes.

>>There's an afterlife?<< Nami didn't seem to have known that either.

>>Well... It's not as easy as Lavea says...- << you started.

>>Sure, it is!<< interrupted the fire witch indignantly.

>>Shush! Now I'm talking.<< You rolled your eyes slightly annoyed before you turned to the others.

>>We don't know 100% whether there's such a thing as an afterlife. When one of us dies, there's a ritual to slide the soul of the deceased over - into the great spirit. All souls gather in it, all of those who have lived up to now. This is also called the soul world.<<

The pirates' looks were very different. From confused, too focused, to panicked and disbelieving.

>>At least that's what we believe in...<< You shrugged your shoulders.
>>But I've never heard of such a nature spirit. Until recently, I didn't even know that I wasn't completely human.<<

You had turned back to Lavea, who looked at you disapprovingly and finally clicked her tongue.
>>Then someone else has your nature spirit. It must have been stolen from you. Or he/she was confused and another half breed must have been nearby at the same time. In any case, you're not safe as long as your nature spirit is not with you.<<

>>But how is [Y/N] supposed to find something that she has neither missed nor knew that she would ever have owned?<< Law's expression was impenetrable. He didn't trust Lavea an inch over the path, you could feel that very well.

>>Well. I'm not going into debt.<< Lavea shrugged nonchalantly and stood up. >>Therefore, I will atone for my guilt from now on.<<

Collective confusion spread.

>>And... how?<< you finally asked nervously. You had a bad feeling...

>>Until you have your nature being back, I won't leave your side, Newty. My life for yours. You saved me so now I'm going to save your ass.<<
