This was apparently written on January 27th, 2020. I'm guessing this was for Valentine's Day and probably me trying to switch things up? I'm all for giving a Lindo a chance plus I'm sure I've already written something for Shiki; who knows where to find it though
This was never completed (which is why it wasn't published already) so as I've revisioned this I tried to give this an ending but I gave up. It's boring
I don't know what the original outline was supposed to be, unlike the police officer oneshot, but we aren't gonna talk about that one.
Enjoy whatever this is
It was another boring Saturday as you sighed, sitting on the couch and skimming through the channels searching for something to watch on television. There was never anything good on, but regardless you've at least tried to make the effort. "Boring...also boring...oh, I hate that one...nah...that's another rerun...I definitely don't want to watch the news-"
There were sudden buzzing and vibrations humming from your phone, swiftly gaining your attention. The T.V. chose its own channel as it fell to the ground, the breaking news channel now blasting; you answered the call quickly without having the chance to check the caller I.D.
"Hey (Y/n)," The voice on the other line was deeper than you expected. Before you could even ask who was calling, the other line spoke. "It's Lindo, by the way. Ritsuka gave me your number."
"O-Oh, hey Lindo!! Is everything alright?" Bending down in an awkward position to reach the remote, your voice had gone up a pitch or two during that sentence in an attempt to grab the controller.
"Well, I was curious if you wanted to come over and hang out for a bit?"
Before you answered, you muted the television, now able to give Lindo's voice your full and undivided attention and answered. "Sure, I don't mind. Want me to bring anything?"
"Hmm, well, if you have a few small things around the house already than sure; but don't go out of your way to buy anything. There's plenty of supplies here."
"Oh cool, what for?"
It sounded as if Lindo were going to speak before muffled static was heard accompanied by some grumbling. "(Y/n)!? Is that you??"
It was now Ritsuka's voice on the line with Lindo muttering in the background. "Hey, girl!! I was just about to call you before someone took my phone and beat me to it." She giggled. "But anyways, you should totally come over and help us, we're gonna make chocolate covered strawberries!!"
With a small gasp, you were absolutely in favor of that idea. "Oh hell yeah!! I'll be there shortly, girl!!"
"Awesome!! I'll be seeing you, bye-bye!!" The phone beeped, signaling that the line was disconnected and she had hung up. You were grinning ear to ear, it's been quite awhile since you've been to their house, plus you hadn't eaten much today besides a bowl of ramen.
The weather outside looked beautiful from a distance, however, it was deceiving due to such harsh wind chills. It was a shame having to cover up a nice outfit behind some large, bulky winter jacket; however, some sacrifices must be made in order to keep warm. You tossed on a pair of boots and looked around the apartment, making sure there wasn't anything you were forgetting.
"Keys...phone...jacket..." You pondered if there were materials you could bring with you as you glanced in the kitchen. Opening some cabinets revealed a few plastic bottles of sprinkles and jimmies commonly used for ice cream sundaes, they were all the way in the back. Without hesitation you reached up, grabbing everything that could possibly fit into your coat pockets, and made your way to the Tachibana Residence.
