Draco had quickly come up with a plan. He would gain the trust of Potter and his friends, it would be the best thing to do in order for everything to fall into place. He would befriend the trio, then he would "accidentally" spill a vial of Veritaserum on him and use it to gain the information he needs from Harry, that way he can turn in the information to the dark lord, so he could use it in the battle that was sure to come. Nothing could go wrong or so he thought.

He wasn't sure why he needed to befriend Harry first, he figured it was be a just in case he's unable to get ahold of Veritaserum then maybe he would simply be able to convince Potter to open up to him, but he knew that would take much longer then his original plan.

Draco woke up early, he knew today he would have to be nice not only to potter, but his so called friends as well, just in case something went wrong or someone tried to interfere.

Draco couldn't help but worry that his plan would go wrong, it was unusually out of character for the young Malfoy to question his work since he was usually very confident and sure of himself but for once he felt unsure.

He quickly shook off the strange self doubt he suddenly felt and quickly left the dinning hall and headed straight for his dormitory

As he arrived in his dorm he felt a cold shiver running down his back, and an overwhelming feeling of regret washed over him, could it be he felt guilty? Or could it be that he really wanted to be friends with potter? But how could that be? He's hated potter since the day they met.

Draco quickly changed into his pajamas and got into bed. He couldn't chicken out now. Tomorrow he has to hang out with potter and make him think he actually wants to be friends with him.

as he laid in bed he couldn't help but wish he knew that this would go well. If it didn't then his father would never give him as task this important again which is the last thing he wanted. He knew this was his last chance and so he had to make it count, but it was far too much responsibility for a barely 16 year old boy.

Draco soon dozed off to sleep. Time skip to next day
As Draco awoke he knew today would be the most vital day of his plan. He had to be kind to potter which he knew would be the hardest task of his mission.

He silently washed his face, his eyes were completely emotionless as always, sometimes it sickened him to look at himself. He wasn't always sure why. But he felt like a fraud when he looked at himself. He knew it was all just a facade but he had no one to change the way he or anyone else saw him.

Time skip: the silver and golden trio arrive in potions.

Harry arrived to potions with Hermione and Ron close by, as he walked into the class he noticed something unusual. Draco, Blaise, and Pansy each had an empty seat next to them.

Harry was called over by Draco, Ron was called over by Blaise, and Hermione was called over by Pansy, obviously after yesterday they couldn't just decline so they decided it wouldn't hurt to sit with the silver trio at least once.

Harry sat down and immediately felt a bit strange. Something was off and he could tell immediately, but he continued on as if it were nothing. Him and Draco made small talk, it was extremely uncomfortable for the both of them and Harry could clearly tell that Draco was unsure of what to say or how to act or what to do so he tried to act calm and not pressure any conversation so they ended up sitting in silence for a majority of the lesson. Which was good for the both of them.

But eventually Harry decided to just stop trying to talk. Then the class ended.

The golden trio and silver trio met back up after the class had ended but they met up together. Blaise, Pansy, Hermione, and Ron all decided that they would want to hang out, which wasn't great tor Draco or Harry since the whole time they were supposed to be "bonding" Draco was too nervous to know what to say and Harry didn't wanna make it awkward so he didn't even try to make small talk after a while. This was gonna be harder then Draco thought.

As the trios headed too their next class with professor flitwick Draco and Harry again tried to make conversation but it failed horribly, draco wasn't sure how to react without being snarky or rude so he just didn't, he just nodded his head silently.

Draco then smirked and got an idea, what if he just acted like a silly fan girl? He knew potter had plenty of those and wouldn't mind another, as the walked into class Draco held the door open for Harry , even if it was just a simple gesture he knew he had to start out small or it would seem suspicious.

Through the day he became more and more fan girly, during classes he would stop and flutter his eyes at Harry then walk away, or say something cheesy that wasn't flirty enough to be considered flirty, during lunch he served harry his food the entire time, but he noticed that Harry hadn't eaten much. He didn't care much though as it wasn't his job to worry about potter.

By the end of the day draco had done as much as possible in order to win potter over, and he could tell it was working, which was all part of his plan.

A few days go by and Draco continues with the same routine of fussing over Potter and doing different gestures some big and some small, but all were just as important

And everything was perfect.

Until Friday.
