Emmett Owen was your average office worker.

Average job, average looks, average... everything.

And yet this average man was about to confess to the office heartthrob.

Manager (L/N) was exactly Emmett's type.

Funny, smart, charming, and has a stable job. What more could a guy want?

Unfortunately, quite a few people found Manager (L/N) attractive, so they had a TON of admirers. Even so, (L/N) was currently single, and Emmett was ready to mingle.

Emmett left a note on (L/N)'s desk to meet him during lunch. Which is why he is nervously holding a gift while waiting for (L/N) to arrive.

"Mr. Owen."

"Ahh!!"

Emmett's heart nearly jumped a mile at the voice that came from behind him.

"M-Manager (L/N)!"

Emmett stuttered out.

Darn it! I didn't want to stutter in front of them!!

(L/N) seemed completely unaffected.

"What would you like to talk about?"

(L/N) asks with a smile.

"Uh, um..."

Emmett took a deep breath.

"I like you! Please go out with me!!"

He shouted as he held out the gift. (L/N) blinks before letting out a broad smile.

"I also find you romantically attractive."

Emmett nearly fainted as (L/N) took the gift.

"So we are a thing now, Manager (L/N)?"
