Annabelle got out of bed and got dressed. It took her ten minutes before she was out the door and walking to the Great Hall. On her way, she saw Ginny walking her way. The girl was all smiles with her school bag slung over her shoulder.
"Gin, the Great Hall is the other way. What are you doing here?" asked Annabelle.
"I wanted to walk with you," said Ginny.
Annabelle smiled, putting her arm around Ginny's shoulder. The pair walked, talking about Ginny's classes. Snape was insufferable like always, and Professor Binns was the boring ghost he was, but the rest of the professors were just fine.
When they arrived at the Hall, Annabelle hugged her sister goodbye and walked to the Professor's table. She saw Remus eating porridge by himself, so naturally, she sat next to him.
"Hello, Remus," said Annabelle.
"Goodmorning," said Remus. He looked at Annabelle and smiled. Then, he looked down at his food and quickly took another bite.
"I'm so excited about your lesson. I can't wait to see what you have in store," said Annabelle as she cut her french toast.
Remus stopped smiling and awkwardly gulped the spoonful of porridge in his mouth. He had almost forgotten that she would be watching him today. It made the nerves in his system go erratic.
"Yes," Remus dryly chuckled. "I believe you're coming in during your brother Ron's class."
Annabelle grinned at Remus and then looked at her plate. She thoroughly chewed a piece of strawberry that was on her french toast and surveyed the room. Her eyes caught Fred and George. They were staring at her with their little smirks that only meant trouble. They looked at Remus and then back at Annabelle, wiggling their eyebrows. Annabelle glared at them, but that didn't make them stop.
George began to draw hearts while Fred wrapped his arms around his back and acted like he was making out with someone. Annabelle dragged her thumb across her neck, signaling that they were dead as soon as Annabelle was alone with them.
"You okay, Anna?" asked Remus, not noticing the twins' shenanigans.
Annabelle looked at him with a forced smile. "Just grand."
Remus shortly hummed. "It looks like your brothers are coming over here."
Annabelle whipped her head in the direction of the Gryffindor table and saw the twins were not there. She looked at the steps leading to her table and saw the boys walking her way.
