It Was Always You

Ten years. That's how long it's been since I last saw my mom. I was 14 years old when she walked out of my life forever. On July 20, 2012 was the day she walked out of mine and siblings lives forever and never contact us or looked for us. She didn't care about us, even through Hyun-jun and Sae-byeok were in their early 20s they still missed our mom like I did. Now she's back after ten years and what is she doing here and with my dad. She broke his heart and she's the reason why he became the way he did sleeping with women and couldn't ever have a stable relationship and why I couldn't have one with Jungkook.

"What is she doing here, dad? Why is she here?!" I asked upset

"Y/n...sweetie....."my dad starts to say

"Have you been in contact with her for ten years?" I asked

"Y/n, sweetie, I found a few weeks that Hee-sun's been in contact with Hana for the last ten years. When Hyun-jun told me that Hana's other children found you I was angry and went to confront her at her office and we...

"Fucked? Like you do with every woman you met?" I asked upset as tears from in my eyes

"No, we talked and when I was leaving she stopped me and begged me to let her meet you and your siblings. You more than them" he said

"And you agreed? Why? Don't you remember how much I cried nonstop for weeks because she left and broke my heart? Why would you agree for her to meet me? So she can ruin my life?!" I said upset

I look at her as she has tears in her eyes crying  before I look at my dad

"I'm so sorry Y/n, but we talked more and I think it's a good idea for you and her to talk. I don't forgive her and I'm not asking you to forgive her, but I think it's good for you to tell her everything your feeling, what you been feeling for the past ten years. Instead of holding it in tell her to everything you wanted to say" he said and heads towards the door "I'm going leave you two to talk and nobody will bother you" he said and opens the door before walking out and closing the door behind him

After he leaves, I look at my mom and she has tears in her eyes. All the angrier and hurt I felt ten years is coming back. I take a sit on the chair and she sits in the couch

"Why did you come back after ten years?" I asked coldly

"I missed you so much and I'm so sorry for everything. I—

"I didn't ask if you missed me or apologize. I asked why did you came back?" I said cutting her off

"I came back for you and your siblings. I want to be part of your lives again. Not a day went by when I didn't think of you and your siblings. I know how much I hurt you when I broke up our family. I regret it all my life. Hee-sun told me everything about you kids and that you become parents. How you have a good careers and I'm so happy and proud of you" she said and cries "I wrote you letters on your birthdays, thanksgiving and holidays but I never send them because I knew that I wouldn't get a response back. I have no excuse for why I cheated on your dad and broke our family, but I regret it. There were so many times over the years that I wanted to come and see you, but I was a coward and I didn't have the face to see you. I'm so sorry for breaking your heart. For leaving you and your siblings, for ruining our family. For hurting you more than anyone, I'm so sorry Y/n" she said and continues to cry

I have tears in my eyes and wipe them away and take a deep breath

"I...I hated you so much for months because you broke our family and my heart, but then I realize that I can't keep hating you. Because it's not worth it, and despite the fact that you left us for your other family I still loved you. My love for you is bigger than my hate, even though your broke my heart I still love you because your my mom" I said and start crying "I hated you for not being there for us. Hyun-jun and Sae-byeok lost their first love/parent of their children in car accidents, they were heartbroken and you weren't there for them! I hated you for not being there for me when my best friend died.
