How am I gonna do this?
That had been the only thing Louis could think the entire weekend. He had spent the entire school year crushing on Harry Styles, and he plans to ask him to the upcoming Valentine's Day dance.
But how?
The faintest idea pops into his head and he quickly turns to google, looking to see if he could find flowers with the right meanings, and luckily for him, he finds a chart with meanings of different colored roses.
Is this a good idea? He'll figure that out later. For now, he has flowers to buy.

Louis makes sure to come in early, hoping Harry won't see him. He had stayed up late, working on his idea. He had written all the notes, bought all the flowers, and bought small wooden boxes that he wrote Harry's name on.
He places the first box, burgundy and blue roses, in front of Harry's locker after making sure no one was nearby, and he then takes another swift look around before quickly making his way to his own locker.
That's day one of his plan complete.

The next day, Louis makes sure to come in early once again, and leaves the box in front of Harry's locker, careful to not be seen doing so.
Today's flowers had been pink and lavender, and Louis could only hope Harry recognizes what he's trying to tell him with the flowers. He should, seeing as he had made sure to let Harry know that the lavender flowers are to show love at first sight, and the pink to show admiration.
He can't be that oblivious, right?
He watches from a far as Harry blushes from the note and he smiles to himself.
Day two complete.

Of course, somewhere along the way there had to be a flaw in Louis' master plan.
That flaw happened to be that by Wednesday, his roses weren't as fresh anymore, and he's not typically picky, but starting-to-die flowers just aren't good enough for Harry. Harry deserves the best.
So, he mentally thanks his mother for buying a house near a flower shop before he runs to the shop, buying light pink and coral roses, before running back home and removing the petals from their stems and carefully arranging them in the box before rushing too the school. So much for being early and staying unseen.
He quickly makes it to Harry's locker, scanning the crowd in the halls but finding no eyes on him as he places the box down carefully, letting out the breath he'd been holding and walking away from it.
Obviously, it couldn't be that easy, as someone spots him. Not just someone of course, one of Harry's close friends.
He explains to Perrie that he's doing a week long project to ask Harry to the dance and she promises to not tell him.
He continues with his day, only hoping Perrie won't say anything, and he's relieved when the day ends and Harry still seems just as oblivious.
Day three done.
2.11.2010
This time Louis wakes up even earlier and runs to the store to get the roses he needs, white and yellow ones with red tips. The tips have to be red, plain yellow symbolizes friendship while with the red it symbolizes falling in love.
He puts the box together and quickly makes his way to the school, putting the box in front of Harry's locker without being seen before making his way to his own locker.
Falling in love. Harry's not stupid, he has to know. The note even says "can't wait for tomorrow", he can't be that oblivious that at least someone's gonna ask him tomorrow.
He watches Harry read the note again and smiles when Harry breaks into a smile, blushing hard.
He quickly leaves the hall as Harry starts putting the box into his locker, and momentarily, his nerves for the next day subside.
Day four is over.
2.12.2010
Today's the day.
Today he reveals himself to Harry and asks him to the dance. Nervous is an understatement.
He makes his way to Harry's locker, slightly slower than he had the past week, and leaves the box in front of it before making his way down the hall, hiding behind a locker and trying to breathe evenly.
He's almost disappointed that Harry hadn't spotted him leaving the box, though he's also relieved that's not how he found out.
He buries himself behind the locker he'd been hiding behind as he sees Harry walking down the hall slowly. Is he nervous too? He had seemed like he couldn't get to his locker fast enough previously.
He watches shyly as Harry crouches down, picking up the box and opening it carefully, a smile spreading over his face.
And he continues watching as Harry reads the note, signed with Louis' name.
