After I explained Lacey to Niall the night seemed to appear quicker than normal.

I walked to the home office and sat down at the desk. Hardly anyone used this room. Me and Niall never bothered to be mature and Care about business. But I had to find a lawyer so I could fight for custody of Casey.

I all the sudden felt mature. I had never actually had to deal with something this serious. I had a little girl to raise now. And possibly two girls to raise.

I shook the thought from my head and started looking up Lawyers on the old Dell computer.

After an hour of looking I gave up and walked into the kitchen. Niall and Casey were sitting at the Table Eating pizza. "Where's Lacey?" I asked grabbing a slice of pizza. "She said she wasn't feeling good and was gonna go to her room." Casey said Bitting into her pizza. She licked the Grease from the Pizza off her lips carful not to mess up her lip gloss.

"Should I check on her?" I asked. "no! She's taking a bath." Casey said. My cheeks grew warm. I had seen Casey Without clothes on all the time. Not like in a dirty way. Like when she cut her leg and I had to un dress her to stop her clothes from getting covered in blood. Or once She fell taking a shower and hit her head. I came to her rescue. Why was it different with Lacey.

Casey stared at me for a second and without saying anything knew what I was thinking and walked up stairs to check on Lacey.

Things were harder than I thought they would be. It felt like Lacey wasn't a my sister. It was like when I held her when she was first born, when I made fun of her and called her stubby when she was two, when I would hold her when she little and was sick wasn't there. She was like a stranger to me. She felt like a delicate doll that I didn't want to touch out of fear that it would break into a million pieces.

The truth was I didn't know Lacey at all. But what really bugged me was that Casey seemed to know Lacey. It was as if Lacey and Casey started off right where they had left off.

Why could me and Lacey do that?

"Are you okay?" Niall asked me. I forgot he was there. "Yeah. I'm fine." I said taking another bite of my pizza trying to convince myself that the lie I just told was true.

Because the truth was me and Lacey were scared of each other and were incapable of communicating with each other. Was it the fact that she was different from the Lacey I first knew. Or was it the fact that this Lacey was stronger than the first and is no longer under my power.
