"They're not doing damage controle" Fukuzawa told Yosano, who still seemed lost, despite being a doctor and by no means unintelligent. She ofthen got lost when Ranpo, the president or Dazai spoke, they just spoke what they were thinking in the way they were thinking, because to them so many things seemed like they explained themselves, so they ofthen ended up explaining things, like they were talking to an idiot.

Because they just couldn't tell at which point in the thought they didn't process the calculation. Whether it was from the very first step or only at the last.

"I still don't get it" Yosano said.

"It doesn't matter to them if their names get out. Dazais file doesn't have a name or an appearance description. If their names get out, they'll simply get new ones. This is about revenge and punishing them for being reckless with their files and employees. They have surely thought about hacking into the serfers and finding out who opened the file and then tracking where it was sent to and simply deleting it, before anything could be done with it. But they're not trying to protect themselves. They're taking revenge because they weren't careful and now their lives are 'at risk'" Ranpo explained.

"So, you're saying they might already know who did it, but are doing this anyways as punishment?" Yosano asked

"Yes, either that or they just don't care who did it. Dazai once said, justice can always be used to harm someone, but it can protect no one. Dazai doesn't have a high opinion of the government, neither would Sawako I believe. Maybe the man or the woman who let word about this mission get out, is already dead, crushed in one of their attacks, or not. If he isn't they have either actively left him alive to fear for his live or they just don't care who is or what happens to hm."

"That's kinds messed up" Yosano commented

"I know" Ranpo answered. "But I guess, that's just how they were raised. They were raised, knowing, the government was inferior to them, so there was no reason to teach someone with such a powerful ability morals, instead someone who killed without thought was much more efficient"

"A child shouldn't be raised like that." Fukuzawa answered.

"No, but sadly some are. I was used as a toel for my ability, Kyouka was used for her ability, Dazai was trained to perfectly use his ability and Sawako from what I know, was as well." Yosano said "Some adults just lack the morals, so their children will as well."

It was only half an hour after this ocurrence, that Ranpo suddenly exclaimed. "I got it"

Yosano and Fukuzawa immediantly shifted their attention to Ranpo.

"The guy we're looking for is indeed still alive and not stationed in america, but works for Hichiraka. His name is Ashai Kurao."

"Do you think they know who he is?" Yosano asked him

"honestly. I have no clue what so ever. I wish I could give you one of my smart deductions, but I just don't get their train of thought as well as I like pretend. What I can tell you though, is that Hideo and Hichiraka were lying to us about something."

"What were they lying about?"

"That they've never seen their faces. Dazai and Sawako aren't dressed up with masks, remember, the woman who survived the collapse of the building could give us a description. And I'm sure they didn't walk into Hichirakas office introducing themselves as demon prodigy and red dragon. That would have been too unlogical, anyone could run into a room and claim to be someone. No, they know their faces"

___________

There while Sawako and Dazai were already ahead of time, standing in the Tyler Smith's (such a basic name I know) office holding some random female employee they had found on their way up hostage, interrogating.

Of course he wasn't willing to confess to something he hadn't done either.

"So, the demon prodigy and the red dragon, haven't seen you two in a while. How have you been? Would you possibly consider entering a building without taking anyone hostage?"

"Can't you guess why we're here Sir? Or are you truly that stupid?" Sawako insulted him. She was always rash with her words, she could speak and behave like a royal princess or threaten with silence when she wanted, but it just wasn't her personality.

"Well, I'm guessing someone gave away that nice file of signature with your names on it, Sawako"

"You are not qualified to speak to me in such disrespectful way. Tell us who spilled and your nice little employee here gets to leave with both her eyes." She threatened, while Dazai traced around the eye with his knife. The employee herself was so afraid, she oculdn't speak.

"She is innoccent, my employees are innoccent, leave them out of it. I have no idea who spilled intel, it wasn't me alright."

"Well, while you are speaking the truth, you have made one grave mistake" Dazai said

"And that wouldn be?"

"You have mentioned Sawako's name. What if your little employee here decides to go out and brag about it?" Dazai countered

"I-I- I w-won't s-s-say an-anything. I p-promise!" The woman pleaded, Dazai ripped one of her fingernails out, the sound prove walls numbed the scream nicely, as not a single guard came running in.

"What do I have to do, so you'll let us go?" He asked.

"Why us? Does this woman perhaps mean something to you?" Sawako playfully said.

The reaction in Tylers face was immediate.

"Oh, so that's how it is. There is not only a Mister Smith, there is also a Misses Smith, we really did catch a good bait"

"To answer your question, there isn't much you can do, as a matter of fact neither of you will leave here ever again. Since you obviously don't know who did it you are no use here, but your tounge is more loose than Hideos and Hichirakas. We can't take that risk can we?" Dazai asked sarcastically.
