Plink...Plink. The soft sound of her tears landing on the floor were bittersweet. On one hand, she was in my arms, and that was the best gift that God could give me. On the other hand, though, it meant that she was having a really rough day. She then got up and wiped away the tears. "Tyronne... I have to go. I'm sorry." I was stricken with fear. "What do you mean? Alice... don't go." At this point, she broke down again. "They're after me, Tyronne! I don't know why, but they're after me!" She then collapsed onto the ground and started bawling. "Alice! Please, don't cry. I can protect you... Just don't go. I can't go through this without you." She stared into my eyes franticly, and then said through a veil of tears "But that is the problem. I can't drag you along, or you will die with me." She then screamed, "I'm so sorry! I can't let you go with me!" She ran to the door and tried to close it, but I ran up and tried to hold it open. I could not live without Alice by my side. "ALICE! DON'T DO THIS TO ME, DAMNIT!" She has stopped crying, but only because she has no more tears left. "I can't let you..." She then closed the door on me. I stared at the door at a loss for words, when I heard a scream. She had been killed, or worse, captured. I collapsed to the ground and started crying until I could not cry anymore.

After about an hour, I decided to check to see if I could find anything that Alice left behind. I searched, and I searched, and finally... nothing. I slump down on the chair in defeat and land on something strange. I look behind me, and to my amazement, her amulet lie in wait. I pick it up and hold it in my hands. Upon opening it, I find a note, hastily written.
'Tyronne, I had to do what I had to do. I am deeply sorry for this... no proper goodbyes... Please, do not fear. Rather, help the others avoid my fate. Help them fight back. Kindest Regards, Alice.'At that exact moment, my life had one goal. Liberate the citizens of Solment from the tyrannic forces that have plagued us for decades. I put on the amulet and lie down in bed, reflecting on what I was to do to free us.
