It wasn't that Jungkook had a financially weak family or discouraging parents. He belonged to an upper middle class Korean family. His mother was an engineer by profession but had taken a break from work to give her babies Jungkook and Yongsun all of her time and attention before they grew up and parted their ways. His father worked as a manager in a reputed bank. He enjoyed his work but not more than his family of five. The fifth being an adorable little Yorkshire terrier called Gureum.
Jungkook attended his university five days a week. Saturdays and Sundays used to be free besides revising his notes from the previous week. He wanted to make his weekends eventful.
Jungkook wanted to start earning by himself and be able to manage his expenses. He looked for part time jobs near his apartment and university and finally came across the ones in the grocery store and the tattoo parlour.
The grocery store is where he reunited with his elder sister Yongsun and Yugyeom. Yongsun was two years older than Jungkook and had left their home in Busan to pursue her ambition of being a fashion designer in Seoul. He really admired and respected his sister. They would do shenanigans and get scolded together. Her sister helped him in every way she could. From helping him with his tough Math homework or becoming his confederate in convincing their parents for something, his sister had been there for him through thick and thin. But as she moved to Seoul, their connection weakened. Yongsun became busy with her own life here.
Of Course he always kept in touch with his noona but soon adulthood struck him like everyone else and he too became busy in chasing his goals and getting into the university of his dreams.
The university was where he met his partner in crime, Min Yoongi and one of his best friends, Yugyeom. He was beyond delighted when he came to know that his Yoonie hyung worked in the shop right across from him. He was two years older than Jungkook. Yoongi had majored in International relations from the same university Jungkook was studying at. Currently, Yoongi worked as a music producer. The flower shop was something that took his mind off all the stress and hardships.
The tattoo parlour was where he met Kim Taehyung. He started to adore the man dearly and it wasn't long before both of them became good friends.
Jungkook loved to do artistic things. He had to undergo a training period of a year before Taehyung announced that he was ready to take his first client. His eyes twinkled every time he thought of the memory. It had been a year since and he was looking forward to many more. To ink people and be a part of someone's forever brought him sheer happiness.
Jungkook was content with his life and how things were turning out to be, apart from the scenario with the tall, very well built, silver haired individual. It seemed that Taehyung didn't see him more than a friend or even a younger brother. Because if Taehyung really did like him, he would have told him already right? However, his friends said something else.
Jungkook was naive for sure, but wasn't among the ones to give up.
