Turn 25: Zero The Hero

"Thats how we make the majority of our money!" Chisaki shouted, gathering a crowd.

"What's going on?" Kallen asked as he approached Chisaki and Zero.

"Kallen, have you heard of a drug called refrain?" Zero asked.

"Uh, yeah. I do. It's a psychotropic drug that's supposed to take you back to the so called good Ole days" Kallen answered.

"If you destroy it, we'll lose most of our funding." Chisaki protested.

"I never said I was going to hit your stash. I didn't even know you sold it. But now, I might have to." Zero said, making Chisaki Raise his hand at Zero. As he did, almost everyone started to point guns at everyone. "There are other ways to get funding. Selling drugs is not one of them. This drug is going to ruin this world and the one we're working to create. I won't tolerate its existence." Zero said turning and walking away despite the Manu guns pointed at him.

'Ever since the black knights taken the world by storm. We've became a friend to the weak. Just as Zero proclaimed we would. Terrorist who involved Civilians, abusive heroes, corrupt politicians, criminal syndicates, and profiteers. If the law didn't punish them. We did. In the blink of eye, we were viewed as heroes despite Zero saying we aren't Heroes. Support for us has sky rocketed. We even have better supplies than we ever had before we met Zero.'

Kallen was stuck in her thoughts as she walked down the street. She was pulled out of her thoughts by the sight of a young boy running around wearing a cape.

"Stop pretending to be a black knight" his mother Scolded.

"But why?" He pouted.

"Because they're terrorist. Now let's go" the mother said pulling him along. The mother son duo gone, she was able to return to her thoughts.

'Its obvious that nearly everyone in the back knights want to know who Zero is under that mask. Myself included. But I feel if we push too hard, he might vanish. And without him, it's certain the black knights will crumble'

Kallen stopped to take a seat on a nearby bench. As she sat there, she noticed someone took a seat next to her.

"I little birdie told me you were looking for me"

Kallen looked to her left to see Izuku sitting there.

"I don't know what you're talking about" Kallen denied.

"Kendo showed me the text. But, you're not looking for me aren't you, Stadtfield. Or should I say Kozuki" izuku said making her gasp. "I know you with the black knights Kallen."

"How did you, know?" Kallen asked.

"I've done a lot of snooping around in my search for Eri." Izuku said making an awkward silence between the two for a moment before speaking up again. "Leave the black knights Kallen."

"What? I cant" Kallen rejected.

"Its dangerous and how can you work so close to that many villains?" Izuku asked.

"Because, they're not villains." Kallen answered.

"Are you saying that because it's what you believe or are saying it because it's what Zero said" izuku asked getting no response from her beside a stinging sensation on his cheek. Izuku looked up to see her standing over him. Kallen had slapped Izuku.

"From what I've been told by your class, I thought If anyone would understand, it would be you. You of all people would understand that maybe they didn't even want to be villains in the first place." Kallen said while Izuku just Stared up at her.

"You're right. I'm just worried you'll get yourself killed." Izuku looked down to his red shoes contrasting with her black shoes. Kallen didn't know how to react or what to say. It was just silence between the two. "I know Zero is planning to attack a warehouse full of refrain. Just... be careful."

"What, so you're not going to use me to find Zero? And how do you even know that anyways?" Kallen asked.

"I don't work like that. I don't torture or force people to give me answers and like I told you, I've done a little snooping around. Besides, I have to agree with Zero. All I want is to get Eri back" Izuku explained.

"Then join the black knights" Kallen said making Izuku look up at her in disbelief. "If you agree with him and want Eri to be safe, then join the black knights."

"I-" izuku looked away from her. "I can't." He rejected her offer. "But thanks for the offer" izuku said standing up. "Just becareful, ok" izuku gave her a light hearted smile before he walked off, leaving Kallen standing at the bench.
