Third person POV:
"WELCOME LADIES AND GENTLEMEN" the voice on the announcer finally speaks and a roar goes across the crowd.
"WELCOME TO THE MAGNIFICENT TORNAMENT TONIGHT WE HAVE SPECIAL GUEST STARS THE CHAMPION OF GALAR AND THE SPIKEMUTH GYMLEADER"
Another roar comes across the crowd mixed the contestants mummering about the two trainers wondering if they have a chance.
Bede:......
Hop: what's wrong man?
Bede: They...
Hop:They.....?
Bede: THEY DIDN'T EVEN MENTION US BEGING HERE
Hop: Great Arceus almighty that's what you care about
Bede: yeah I work hard for my position
Hop: HAH sure...
Bede: What's that supposed to mean....
Marnie and Victor watch the two fight and bicker.
Marnie: those two will never change
Victor: yeah....well enough about them are you ready for this
Marnie: Of course who do you think your talking to
Victor: just don't cry when I win
Marnie: you wish
The two laugh with eachother for the first time in a while - they've barely spent anytime alone together.
Victor:...this is nice
Marnie:what do you mean
Victor: I been so caught up in being the champion ...I've barley even had a chance to see you smile
A blush was starting to develop on Marnie's face.
Marnie: you know I don't smile alot anyways
Victor: you should your smile is really cute
Marnie:....wha- wah- what I..i
Victor finally comes to grip with what he just said and turns his face away to hide his embarrassment while Marnie gets as red as an applin.
Victor: What- I-i mean is smiling is good fooooorrr the souulll
Marnie: um... thanks your smile is really nice too
------ somewhere like 25 feet away------
Vincent: Uhh why can't I see Marnie
Hop: BECAUSE YOUR PRESENCE IS ABOUT TO RUIN THE MOMENT
Vinent: wait what moment
Bede: Hop stop it you'll cause a scene
Hop: but look at them they're finally talking ALONE together. I'm not about to make their happiness be distrusted by some guy with good looks and cool hair
Vincent: uhhh thank yoouuu
Bede: ... I don't even know how to respond to that
Hop: the point is I won't let my best mate get his heart broken by some-
Vincent: wait wait you have it all wrong I'm not pursuing Marnie
Hop: ....say what now
Vincent: well first I'm dating someone right now and two there is a bigger reason I'm on this cruise
Bede is the first to break the silence and says
Bede: What are you doing here.....
