Declan sigh after  hearing the story Martina had call him up late after the girls had left  to tell him the entire story, for already her husband was sleeping in their bed room
"He did what he slap you? Oh dear he, how old do he think you to be" he hissed "I can't believe they both slap you I'm sorry pretty"
"It's not your fault"
Martina said
Declan sigh he didn't bother her to tell her about the restraining order from her father and how he came over almost shove him down, he will over come him it's Martina he's worried about now,
"What you think his plan is for it?" He ask
Martina feel with him eager to get back to him he'll sell it,
"I know the feeling you have for this place but screw your dad you'll get something else"
Martina didn't want to heard that but she agreed with him,
"Look what coming back had cause" Declan said with a chuckle,
"I'm glad you're back"
"After loosing the key to your happy place I'm sure you don't feel be the same"
Martina grin "half of what I feel for you isn't in that place"
" Your innocence is still there ain't  it I'm sure it haven all been clean away as yet" Declan said and Martina giggled
" It's all on you Declan that's where it went, that's where I wanted then it's where I want it now I want my life to be with you"
" I love you too pretty" he said
" Maybe we're not to see each other for a while and see what happens" Declan said
" I want to see you tomorrow I could use your arms"
" If someone is taking pictures I'm sure they're watching us and if your dad have the intention of giving back the keys you're going to blew the chance"
" Let him keep his stupid place I want to see you"
" Ok baby" he said " ok pretty tomorrow at noon I'll take you for sundae"
"yes"
" See you later"
" Where will I see you? "
" At fruit tolu"
Martina grin " see you there" they hang up and Martina went for water she came back and lay on the couch,
Declan went down for he needed a drink he came and find his mother in the kitchen,
" What you still doing up woman?" His hoarse voice echo and Doris jump
Declan laugh
Doris slap him,
" I'm getting some water for Joe he's having a cough,  How comes you're not sleeping?"
" I was talking to Martina her dad and mom gang up on her they took away the key to the bed and breakfast her dad gave her"
" I'm sorry to hear"
" Yeah she love it over there" Declan said
" I don't think it's half of how she loves you" Doris said facing her son " after you left she never stop coming over even after she got married her room was her refuse she would stay for hours when I was cleaning out your room she help me to clean  and we gave the things to the children home, she never asked about you no matter what and I never told her but I'm sure she wanted to know"
" She never told me she came but she never asked for she believes you have her up for you believe it's her fault why I had to leave"
" It was you Declan you were the boy that never learn to control your anger, I never think to blame her"
" I'm sorry mom for all the hell I put you through and I've not one day apologize to you"
Doris sigh and smile Declan hug her "I love you mom"
"I love you, and be careful"

Doris was about to go but he held her back took the water from her and gave her a small amount of gym in a glass with some lemon juice Doris gave it and from he drank it he didn't cough,
Declan was making breakfast when Joe came in,
"Morning Joe" he said
"Morning son" Joe said
"Did you sleep well?" He ask
"After that drink" he said putting up his thumb
"Works for me" Declan said
Joe help with breakfast, "so how are things with you and mom?" He ask
"It's pretty well?"
"So you plan on marrying her?"
"I, I" Joe said going into his pocket to show Declan a ring a pretty nice one too it was his mother but he never gotten around marriage before "I want to know what you think she's not sure how you're going to feel"
"Good that someone love her to marry her"
Joe laugh
Doris came in the kitchen and saw his face look serious and her son was looking the same she wondered what word exchange they made Declan hand her some waffle and eggs he brought the tea and they ate together "I have an appointment" Declan  said
"I'll do the dishes" Joe said
"Aren't you going to the garage?" Doris asked
"I'll have them done long before  I'm ready" he said
Doris nod
"Catch you later" Declan said
"Be careful" Doris said
"Yes mom" he believe she turn it into a song he smile to himself as he left the house,
Joe took Doris by the hand "I'm not rushing you but I'm asking you to marry me, I've talked with your son and he has no problem what so ever"
"You talk with him?" She asked
"Oh yes"
"And you're sure?"
"I'm over one hundred percent sure" Joe said
Doris  smile and   stretch out her finger for the ring she laughed hug Joe and Joe kiss her"
" I see you got here early" Declan said as he join Martina
" When it's you I want to be even earlier" she said with a smile, she was wearing sunglasses, Declan couldn't see her eyes he lean over to notice her cheeks they were a little red he saw and it make him angry inside and want to go over there and knock that man out the thoughts make him  hissed,
"It's ok" Martina said
"Are you sure? For if you want me to go over there and give him a piece of me he'll get it"
Martina grin,
Declan like the idea to know no matter how much tribulation she's going through he can give her that reason to smile,
"He doesn't deserve a piece of you" she said
"I know that pretty but that won't stop me from giving him a piece of me"
They  both smile,
"Should I order?" He ask
"Yes"
"Pistachio Sundae" they said together and grin
he ordered to go Martina though they would sir and enjoy but they walk the bridge like two happy couple talking and laughing, because Martina has her sunglasses on Declan bought one a long the way, he puts it on his
