"Samuuuu. Come down, I made dinner"

The blond heard someone hurrying down the stairs and moments later his brother entered the kitchen with a worried and questioning face.

"What? Where? Do I have to put out a fire?"

"Wha-"

"Did you get hurt? Did cut yourself? Or burned? Do we have to go to the hospital?"

"What? NOOO!"

The blond whined and gave his brother a pouty look.

"Put a little trust in me!"

"Trust? Last time I trusted you with making breakfast, you almost burned the kitchen down trying to make scrambled eggs!"

"That was long ago!"

"It was literally 2 weeks ago."

"Still, I've learned since then!"

Atsumu said with a confident smile and you could almost see his chest swell with pride, whereupon his brother just raised an eyebrow and looked at him doubtfully.

After staring at him appraisingly for a moment, he sighed indulgently smiled at brother.

"Okay, Okay. So, what did you cook?"

"Your favorite."

The smaller one beamed a happy smile to his brother as he stepped aside to show him his beloved Onigiri.
The grey-haired's eyes sparkled briefly before he looked at him again with furrowed eyebrows.

"What do you want?"

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

He crossed his arms behind his back and looked at him with an innocent smile.

"Don't play dumb, Tsumu. Making my favorite food and acting all nice? Come on."

The blonde pouted again and his brother knew he had hit the mark.

With a sigh, he sat down on a chair and Atsumu brought the Onigiri to the table and sat down as well.

"I just want to tell you
that I won't be here
this weekend."

"Hm? Where are you going?"

"I wanna spend some time
with a friend and we
wanna go on a trip."

Atsumu tried to make the word "friend" sound casual, hoping his brother wouldn't elaborate further. But of course he did.

"Which friend?"

"My friend."

Osamu looked at him with a blank expression, wondering if his twin is just playing dumb or is that dumb.

But he was pretty sure it was the first. He knew for a fact that the blonde was purposely avoiding answering his question, so he skipped it for now.

"And where do you two wanna go?"

"Okinawa."

His brother almost choked on the onigiri he had just bitten into.

"WHAT?!"

"We're going to Okinawa."

"Are you kidding me?!
Do you know how expensive that is?
How are you going to pay for that?"

"Don't worry Samu,
my friend is going to pay."

"Wha-.. Which friend?!"

"A friend..."

"TSUMU!
Who are you going there with?
Is that some perverted old bastard trying to buy you?"

"What, NOOO!"

"So, who is it?"

Atsumu bit his lip and seemed mentally struggling with whether to tell his brother or try to make excuses.

Finally he gave up and sighed in defeat.

"Okay, you win.
Omi invited me to spend the weekend in his family's holiday home.
Since it's theirs,
all we have to do is pay for the ride."

"That Ace from Itachiyama?"

"Yeah."

~And my boyfriend, but like hell imma gonna tell you that.~

"And why didn't you wanna tell me?"

"Because sometimes
you can be overprotective!
And I was sure that
you wouldn't let me go."

Osamu looked into his brother's sad eyes and sighed.

He knows he can be overprotective at times and that his brother is already grown up and can take care of himself, but he couldn't help but worry about him.

But he also knows that he cannot protect and imprison his brother from everything.

He wants him to be happy and enjoy life, so he gave him a warm smile and a pat on the shoulder encouragingly.

"I'm sorrv Tsumu. Of course you can go."

The blond immediately looked up with a bright and happy smile and almost jumped on top of his brother and hugged him tightly.

"Thank ya, Samu."

"You're welcome."

Atsumu jumped up and made his way upstairs to pack his bag, and Osamu smiled, shaking his head slightly and biting into the onigiri again, satisfied.

The next day / Friday

Osamu opened the door and saw Sakusa waiting for his brother outside by his car.

Atsumu walked past him and hugged him tightly goodbye.

"Bye Samu, See ya on Monday."

"Bye Tsumu. Have fun and stay safe."

"Will do. Thank ya."

"And don't cost sakusa too much money, got it?"

Just as Atsumu was about to get in the car, he turned to his brother with a smirk on his lips.

"Don't worry. I'll make sure to pay him back."

The grey-haired looked questioningly at his brother.

Then it hit him and he was about to shout something to his brother when he saw him close his door and wave at him with a mischievous grin.

Sakusa got in the car with an equally smirk on his face and they drove off, leaving a dumbfounded and grumbling Osamu behind.
