madison's pov:

i can hear people calling my name but i cant make out which voices are which, it feels like i'm awake but i just can't open my eyes at all.

"holy shit what the hell happened"  this time i can make out who's voice it is dixie's.

josh's pov:

"i got her to jump into the pool for a bit but before she could jump michael pushed her." i say pissed off

"where the fuck is he?" dixie screams.

"thomas is with him inside" calvin said from behind the group.

"we need to get her to the hospital" i tell dixie

- time skip -

madison's pov:

i wake surrounded by people, despite barley being able to hold my eyes open for more than a few seconds at a time, i can see josh sat next to me holding my right hand, my parents sat on my left along with my sisters and alex and kovur sat in the corner of the room, alex scrolling through his phone and kovur zoned out staring at the wall.

i try to move my right arm but i can make out what looks like a cast on it with a blue heart drawn on it which im assuming was either from charli or kovur.

it took a few minutes for everyone to realise i have woken up but when i do they are all very happy.

my parents let the doctors know that i was awake and they do a quick assessment on me. after a while they leave the room and everyone starts making small talk amongst eachother.

"what time is it?" i ask with a raspy voice as it's my first time speaking since i had woken up.

"10:52" josh tells me reading the time off his phone.

"shit sorry" i say almost immediately.

him and my parents both looked at me confused.

"dinner?" i say which comes out more of a question.

"don't worry about that, all that matters is that you're okay" my mom says comforting me.

i sit there thinking for a minute to try and remember what happened in the split second before i fell it took a few minutes but i remember seeing micheals face but i don't remember anything past that.

may 13th 2020
10.21am

madison's pov:

around 8 this morning the doctors discharged
me and confirmed i had broken arm and bruised two of my ribs.

now i'm sitting in bed bored because i'm apparently too hurt to get up and should be resting which i decide to completely ignore and go to the living room to get something to eat.

3rd persons pov:

lucky for madison her parents room is the furthest away from the stairs so they won't see her so the only people she need to watch out for are charli dixie and the family's assistant alexa.

madison makes her way downstairs seeing that the living room and kitchen are clear and decides to have cereal so she can take the painkillers the doctor prescribed.

madison's pov:

as i sit down about the milk in my bowl (after the cereal of course 🙈) i get a text from josh which makes my heart drop....
