JAMES POV:

He seemed kind of confused of where he was, I don't really blame him. But he seemed more confused than he should be. But right now, I'm just happy to know he is alive.

"Aleks...?" The brunet looked over at me with even more confusion.

"James Wilson is it? It seems to us, that during the shooting, the shooter(s) had hitten a part of his head, that held his memories, we believe he has memory loss." The doctor that didn't escort me in here said to break some confusion. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I knew Aleks was going to be messed up. Just fucking great!

"...Is it serious?" Why did I even ask this, of course it's going to be serious.

"We believe so, we think he has this thing where you forget things then remember them later, then forget again, currently. It's a lot better than having no memory at all. But this is only a hypothesis. We are not completely sure of what kind of memory loss Aleksandr Marchant has right now."

"But yes, it is serious for now." The doctor finished. I started to pull the hair on the back of my head, I didn't know what to do. Will he remember his friends? Me? The attack...? These questions spinned in the back of my head like a carousel.

"Oh...okay, am I allowed to have a few minutes with him, alone?" I wonder if I was able to talk to him about what he might remember, but then I realized he was sitting there on his hospital bed, looking at me like I just talked shit about him. Did I just offend him? Should I have asked him if he was okay first? Probably should have, but that doctor interrupted me.

"Yes you may, we will check back with you in 20 minutes." The doctor said, he then herded the other doctors out of the room with him. As I watched the door shut, I looked back over to see Aleks still staring at me.

"I'm glad you are alive, Aleks"

He didn't respond.

"Are you there...? Hello, earth to Aleks."

ALEKS POV:

This man infront of me seemed oddly familiar, I could have swore I have seem him before. How does he know my name? Maybe I just need to relax a bit more. Yeah that's it. But I guess for now I'm forced to talk to him.

"I am on earth, I think, but who are you?"

"James, your best friend...you don't remember?" This person infront of me seemed sad that I apparently can't remember him.

"Sorry I don't remember you."

JAMES POV:

I wanted to just curl into a ball right then and there. My like best pal, doesn't even know he has a best pal. I also wanted to cry, but obviously I can't.

"Oh, I forgot, another friend of yours named Jordan, wanted me to give you a hug..." Ugh. I actually forgot about Jordan's hug, then I decided to use his ask for an excuse. Aleks did a flinch when I gave him a half hug, but he had let it go through.

"Jordan...isn't that the guy with the...red hat?" Oh cool. He remembers him and not me. Cool...!

"Yeah...yeah it is, you remember him?"

Aleks sat there with a finger over his mouth, he's probably thinking really hard to remember anything else in that head of his.

After I was told I had to leave, because I could apparently only be with him for so long for some reason. I walked back to the waiting room to grab the jacket I left in there, and everyone looked at me.

"Is he alright?"

"I'm glad hes alive."

"James... why aren't you happy?"

After I told them what I was told, everyone's cheery smiles went to flat faces.

2 weeks passed before Aleks was told he could leave the hospital. I waited those 2 weeks in full grown pain, I wanted to see him for more than like 20 minutes a day, I wanted to try and help him remember what he had lost. I hope his memory thing goes away soon.

As I walked Aleks out the hospital door, he stopped and looked around, he looked confused again. Probably trying to remember some other shit. He opened his mouth to talk, but then he shut it and became quiet. I opened his side of the car for him, cause heaven knows if he even knows how to do that.

"You know, you spilled a drink in my car before."

"I have now?"

"Yep, I remember you spilling it all over your pants, and I yelled at you cause you made my car a sticky mess."

Aleks did a small laugh, maybe if I just keep reminding him of stuff, he will eventually remember. I guess I'll mess with that more later on. Right now I should focus on driving.

After I pulled the car into the parking lot for the building the office was in, I got shivers down my spine cause of memories. While Aleks stopped dead in his tracks, he looked like he had turn to stone.

"Something happened here, something...that involved me." I could barely hear him, he said it so quietly.

"Yeah, something did, but for now please go inside." I ended up having to shove him inside cause he just stood there, looking around. I also didn't want to risk him being shot, again. After we walked up the stairs, I fumbled with the keys and tried to figure out which one it was, I ended up getting mad cause they all looked the same.

"Its that one." I looked over to Aleks, who was now holding onto a key to show which one it was. I put the key in the door, and it opened.

"You remember which key it was." I did a small smile, cause he remembered something without being hinted, or told about it. Aleks gave a shrug in reply.

I walked him into the meeting room, where Kevin, Jordan, and Seamus sat. They all looked at me, then immediately Aleks. Everyone but Seamus stood up, Seamus seemed to be typing something really quick before he would come to greet Aleks.

"Hey Aleks." Jordan went in for a hug, Aleks had accepted it.

"That's the guy with the red hat..." Aleks spurted out as he was being hugged.

"Oh shit, he's already learned a few things before he came to his memory school." Kevin said was a big ass grin on his face.

"Kevin. You should be glad he's even alive." Jordan said, which by now left the hug.

"I am glad that he is alive man. Why do you think I was crying tears of joy in the waiting room when those people told us he was okay-"

"Your voice is really really deep..." Aleks interrupted Kevins small story. Kevin patted Aleks on the shoulder.

"Good job observing, Captain Obvious." Seamus finally had gotten out of his seat to join the conversation.

"Oh, and your hair is long." Aleks said just to be that way.

Things might be okay. Things might be okay. Things will be okay. It will be okay.
