Being proposed to by the man of my dreams really is a dream come true and it's crazy to think that I am engaged at the same time as Selene. Despite going through a traumatic experience of being filmed without your consent then having that leaked online, Selene was still lucky in love when she found Storm.
Ben was not really serious about me the first time around so I never thought that I would get engaged any time soon and I didn't think that it would be to him. There have been no pressures for us to get married, move in together or have kids because we're still fairly recent so this really was the surprise of a lifetime.
My parents invited us over to their home to celebrate this beautiful news of ours and it feels weird to be receiving all this attention at once. I have never been jealous of Selene but she is always the one that people have positive things to say about so it's somewhat overwhelming even though we haven't shared the news with the world yet.
"If I tell the story again then I might start crying." My dad says as he sniffles. "Zeta, you do the honours."
"Stanley, you are so dramatic." Mom laughs as she gives his cheek a kiss. "Ben might be joining the family but you guys haven't been so open about your relationship so it took us by surprise when he invited us out for a game of golf."
My dad sighs happily, "And you know I love a good game at golf."
"You're a pro." Ben adds while chuckling.
"We were talking about eachother's lives when he started asking your father how he knew that I was the one then he gave this beautiful speech about how much he loves you. It got pretty emotional then he took us out by asking for your hand in marriage." My mom smiles sweetly while taking a sip of her matcha latte. "We cried when he showed us the ring that he had purchased for you and I just took a moment to look in his eyes."
"So pure and filled with love." My dad adds as if Ben is one of his characters which makes me laugh. "We have cried every night since finding out that he was going to propose."
