Different meetings (sorta) when Chloe meets Dawn.

Chloe was camping out in the wilderness somewhere in Sinnoh. Although, she felt quite lonely not having any of her family members, or even those dumb idiot research fellows who work for her father, having her beloved nearby Eevee put Chloe at ease, as the nearby Kricketots can be heard chirping away through the brisk and cool night.

"Sinnoh is so amazing so far. I can't wait to get to Eterna City, what about you Eevee?" Chloe silently asked the brown mutt Pokemon.

Eevee let out a small coo and curled into Chloe's lap.  Chloe stared at the fire for a little while longer. As she suddenly felt herself nodding off to sleep, she quickly snapped her eyes open when she heard some shuffling in the bushes.

"Hello? Anyone there?" Chloe asked loudly into the unknown abyss of the dark trees that surrounded them. Eevee by now had already awoken from its small daze, as it's ears quickly perked at the shuffling sound just ahead. Eevee then jumped out of Chloe's lap and rushed into the nearby bushes.

"Eevee! Wait!" Chloe yelled and quickly followed her Pokémon . Once she passed through the bushes, she noticed a small blue Pokémon curled up on the soft ground, while Eevee looked at the mysterious Pokémon worriedly. It looks like it had been injured.

Chloe slowly and carefully approached the Pokémon who made a small "plip" noise that escaped its mouth while pulling itself up off the ground ever so slightly.

"Who's that Pokémon?" Chloe wondered out loud, while pulling out her pink Rotom Phone.

"Piplup. The Penguin Pokémon. A Water type. A poor walker, it often falls down. However, its strong pride makes it puff up its chest without a care."

"Oh, maybe you're injured slightly from falling?" Chloe asked curiously, but the mysterious Pokémon turned its head away from the Vermillion native girl and tried to walk away.

"Piplup? Piplup!" Chloe heard a girl's voice nearby, assuming it belonged to this Piplup's owner.

As the unknown girl emerged from the nearby trees, the Piplup rushed towards her, making happy noises. The girl in response picked up Piplup, and held it closely in her arms.

Chloe got a good look at the Piplup owner. She had dark blue hair that go just below the shoulders, a white hat with a pink Pokeball logo on it, red scarf and pink skirt with a black top.

Chloe found herself blushing, but quickly shook it off as she returned her gaze that the Piplup trainer.

"You must have found my Piplup! Thank you so much" the mysterious girl exclaimed with a contagious smile.

"It's no worries. Actually, my Eevee found it, so I didn't really do much, but I hope Piplup is okay".

"Still, thanks to both of you! Piplup is pretty used to falling over, but I don't mind getting it patched up! My name is Dawn by the way" Dawn greeted, shaking Chloe's hand.

Chloe blushed slightly again at the contact, but did her absolute best to ignore it. "Hello! I'm Chloe and this is my partner Eevee".

"That's wonderful! Me and Piplup were on our way to Eterna City." Dawn explained while removing her hand from Chloe.

"Oh! Really? So were me and Eevee, but it got late so we decided to camp out for the night. I was hoping to the Pokémon Coordinators compete!"

"Why watch when you can compete! I think you would be amazing at it. Speaking as a Pokémon Coordinator myself." Dawn said.

Chloe blushed again, and twiddled her thumbs nervously. "I-I don't think I would be good enough to be a Pokemon Coordinator..." she mumbled.

Chloe was unexpectedly thrown into a side hug by Dawn which definitely made her face turn into the flames off of a Charmander's tail.

"Well I think you will be amazing! Right Piplup?" Dawn asked, still being the side hug while turning her head to face the penguin pokemon who simply nodded and chirped in agreement.

"O-oh okay, well, I will think about it" Chloe concluded, while Dawn took a step away from Chloe.

"All right! Are you okay if we camp out together, we are quite far out, and there isn't a Pokemon Center nearby for a long time" Dawn inquired.

"I don't see why not." Chloe said as the two girls started making their way back to the camp.

Chloe suddenly felt something holding her hand. She quickly averted her gaze downwards to see that Dawn was holding her hand. Piplup and Eevee have already gotten ahead of the girl's, probably having a race to see who can get there first.

Chloe decided against mentioning why Dawn was holding her hand due to her worrying she might make things awkward between them. So instead, she decided to ask a question that was mentioned in Dawn's encouragement eariler.

"So you are a Pokémon Coordinator?" Chloe asked.

"Yep! Me and Piplup alongside my other Pokémon have worked hard to where we are. My mom is actually considered one of the best Pokémon Coordinator's and I always wanted to follow her footsteps" Dawn explained, while looking up at the blue night sky, stars twinkling ever so brightly, similar to a Jirachi.

Chloe hummed in amazement and the two exchanged some more conversations until they reach the campsite. Dawn then finally let go of Chloe's hand, and looked towards the only sleeping bag, which was Chloe's.

"Oh my goodness. I am sorry Chloe I didn't even consider that there would only be one sleeping bag. I didn't bring one because I thought I would make it to the Pokémon Center but of course, that didn't happen" Dawn chuckled nervously. "I can sleep on the grass".

Before Chloe knew it, her lips began to part and said "I don't mind sharing a sleeping bag with you! It is a bit chilly out after all". Chloe blushed profusely and was about to apologise for causing the embarrassment between the two of them until Dawn interrupted.

"Yeah I don't mind that!" Dawn said, already making her way towards the sleeping bag.

Chloe started to blush even more darker, but waddled her way over to Dawn. She scooted herself next to the Sinnoh Pokemon Coordinator. Chloe then realized how small the sleeping bag is, and that their bodies were already practically touching.

Dawn was also slightly blushing, but due to how dark it was, Chloe didn't notice it. Piplup and Eevee made their way towards their trainers and cuddled into their sides respectively before nodding off into the dream world.

As Chloe was getting ready to shut her own eyelids, she felt two arms wrap around her waist and torso and pulled her into something warm. On instinct, Chloe cuddled closer to the warmth.

Chloe then realized that she nuzzled herself into Dawn's chest, and just as she was about to pull away, she heard soft snores. Chloe looked up and saw Dawn peacefully sleeping, her lips slightly parted, with a smile plastered to her face.

Chloe decided that she can suffer the embarrassment in the morning when she was a bit more aware of what is going on. So Chloe snuggled in closer, and also slowly dozed off to sleep under the beautiful night sky.

Dawn suddenly mumbled a "I love you" while squeezing Chloe ever so slightly in her arms, but since Chloe passed out into deep slumber long ago, she didn't hear Dawn's sleep talking love confession. One day, perhaps.

They'll both be awake to confess their feelings to one another.
