The group of friends had decided to go swimming together at Jungkook's work after Yoongi and Taehyung had been begging them to take them for what seemed like weeks now, so they finally decided to go on a Sunday evening when the midday hustle and bustle had quieted down.
Taehyung was bouncing off the walls with excitement; he hadn't been swimming in years and certainly hadn't when he was in littlespace, so the fact that his caregivers took him and Yoongi on a day out while they were small was very exciting. However, once they'd got there and we're getting dressed, Hobi seemed to be having a little trouble in getting Yoongi to come out of his changing cubicle.
"Yoonie, everyone else is ready. What's taking so long?" Hoseok sighed, crossing his arms and tapping his foot where he was stood outside of Yoongi's cubicle. However, he dropped his impatient tone and frowned when all he got was a sniffle in response.
"Uh oh, what's wrong, bubs?" He quickly hummed, leaning against the door to hear Yoongi better, but the little didn't reply and just started sobbing.
"Everything okay over here?" Jimin hummed with a smile as he rounded the corner and found Hoseok leant up against a locked cubicle, and the older sighed and pressed his ear to the door.
"I can't get Yoonie to come out." He sighed again, lightly knocking on the cubicle door to try and prompt his shy little to talk to him. Jimin frowned, turning to find Namjoon and Taehyung walking towards them, his own little obediently holding Namjoon's hand as they walked across the slippery floor.
"Baby, c'mon. Please? They have a big slide here and everything." Hoseok continued, waiting patiently for a few more seconds, before Yoongi finally spoke.
"D-Don like it Daddy." He whispered, making Hoseok furrow his brows in confusion.
"You don't like what, sweetheart? The pool?"
"Nuh uh. Y-Yoonie no like- um..." the little cut himself off, sniffling and whining with discomfort. "Don l-like Yoonie tummy!"
His outburst was overheard by Taehyung, and while Hoseok tried to comfort Yoongi from the other side of the door, Taehyung broke away from Namjoon and ran to the closed cubicle before his caregivers could tell him not to run.
"Yoonie is pretty!" Taehyung called, millimetres away from pressing his lips to the door and continuing when he heard Yoongi go quiet. "Yoonie's tummy is cute! Don be mean to Yoonie's tummy."
Any thoughts of stopping Taehyung from being so loud were instantly wiped out of the others' mind when Yoongi timidly opened the door and threw his arms around his little friend with a tearful giggle.
"F-fankies Taetae." He stammered, which had the brunette grinning, hugging his friend back.
"Well done, Taetae." Jin spoke up, seeing the younger little beam while Yoongi stepped back a little, still attempting to cover his torso with his hands.
"You look fine, bubs, don't be shy." Hoseok cooed, pulling Yoongi closer to him, and that's when Jungkook rounded the corner with his black tshirt in hand.
"Yoonie, do you wanna wear uncle Kookie's shirt in the water? It'll be a little big but I'm sure you'll be fine." He offered gently, Hoseok giving him an unsure look when Yoongi nodded eagerly.
"Are you sure?" The red-haired caregiver checked, receiving a smile and the tshirt from the younger.
"Yeah, I've got a hoodie in my bag. I'll just wear that home, no problemo." The youngest answered immediately, and with a tiny 'thank you' from Yoongi, the seven of them were finally heading into the pool.
Taehyung and Yoongi paddled around together, giggling and splashing each other while Namjoon and Hobi kept a close eye on them. The other three had gone off to 'test that the slides were safe for the littles', which Namjoon had rolled his eyes at, but the littles were more than happy to play on their own for a little while.
The two entertained themselves with a small waterfall that came out of one of the walls by the pool, running through it and giggling when they tried to wrestle each other under the water. They lost interest in their little game when Jungkook, Jimin and Jin came back from their 'water slide testing', the three approaching the littles with wide smiles.
"There's a big slide with big floats that all five of us could go on together, what do you think?" Jungkook proposed, and both littles gasped and nodded eagerly, giggling as they waded through the pool to where the slide steps were.
"No running!" Jin called out after them, and though they pouted, they did as they were told and settled with walking up the steps. Jimin decided he'd stay back and talk to Hobi, so Namjoon felt inclined to go, unable to say no to the littles' happy faces.
The queue for the slide wasn't too bad, so after maybe ten minutes of waiting, all five boys got on a float at the top and waited for the lifeguard, one of Jungkook's colleagues, to give the all-clear. As soon as she did, Jungkook pushed off the slide with his feet and had all of them going straight down it, Yoongi and Taehyung giggling with laughter.
"Why am I going backwards??" Namjoon yelled, all of the others laughing.
"Cos youw heaby, Joonie!" Taehyung giggled cheekily, and soon enough they reached the bottom, their float causing a huge splash.
"Again again!" Yoongi chanted, and Jungkook was happy to go up with the littles a second time, though Jin and Namjoon were quick to express that they'd rather go and swim around with Jimin and Hobi.
"C'mon, us three can go." Jungkook said, and the light frowns on the littles' faces were immediately lifted, smiling with excitement for a second time.
After that they went to join the others in the pool, playing catch for a little while with a soft ball that Hobi had brought. Yoongi accidentally threw the ball past Taehyung, nearly hitting a young boy, and Taehyung gasped and ran over to apologise as he retrieved the ball. However, the boy and his friend just scowled at Taehyung and splashed him in the face before laughing and going to play somewhere else, and Jimin soon found an upset Taehyung running over to him.
"Why are you crying, hm?" Jimin was quick to coo, letting Taehyung sit on his lap in the water.
"Cos they s-spwashed me!" He whined, pointing at the boys who were heading off to the wave pool, but Jimin just rubbed his back and smiled.
"Baby, they were just playing. It's just a little water, don't be upset." He hummed, and Taehyung pouted, rubbing his eyes with small fists.
"B-but it h-huwt Taetae's eyes." He sniffled, Jimin cooing and dancing his thumbs over the little's eyelids.
"It'll stop stinging soon, lovely. Just sit with me for a bit, yeah? We can watch the others play catch." He suggested, Taehyung nodded and turning around to sit between Jimin's legs in the shallow water, facing the other way to watch the others play.
An hour and a half passed pretty quickly, and the littles found themselves getting tired, so they decided to get out and head home for some lunch.
"Did you have fun?" Jungkook spoke with a grin to their little two who nodded immediately, smiling up at him.
"Yes Uncwe Kookie!"
"Yes Daddy!"
After finally persuading the littles to shower and dealing with their whining about soap being in their eyes, the seven of them got dressed, heading out to their cars.
"We should do this again sometime." Jin spoke up, and Hoseok nodded.
"Yeah, maybe we should do something else with the seven of us. It's been a while since we all got together." He agreed, Jungkook and Taehyung exchanging glances before nodding too.
"Sounds great."
