Rainmaker
She was a kind and bubbly girl, and still is. Or that's what she shows the world. Her smile was meant to hide her sadness. She only shows her emotions when left alone to those of Project Eve and Project Adam.
Her childhood ended in just one day.
Everyone who eyed her would, could only call a cute girl. As said earlier, kind and bubbly. She loved to dance and play with everyone. Three things about her sticks out about her. Her skin, eyes, and horns.
But like always, there was a problem at home. Her birth made things complicated between her parents. Rainmaker's appearance hand little resemblance to her parents. Neither had horns nor her vibrant skin color. Her father blamed her mother for cheating. While the mother blamed Rainmaker for the strain in her marriage. Even after test were done proving that Rainmaker was their child, their doubt already straining their relationship.
Once Rainmaker learned of this, she could never look at those two in the eyes. Which wasn't hard, as even they would avoid looking at Rainmaker's eyes. For her father, the once innocent eyes were a reminder of him of ill judgement of his wife. Her mother on the other hand would look at the girl with disgust. Cursing the child for not looking "normal".
Rainmaker hated being at home. She felt being suffocated by those titled as 'her parent'. She never talked to them unless it was necessary. Always running straight to her room or pretending to have something that held her attention. They were only roommates, nothing more or less.
Even back then, she wore a mask. She only wanted to feel accepted. To not be looked at with disgust, pity, or ridicule.
She figured people like kids as playful, kind, with manners, and being a slight airhead.
So she played the role. She had a friend, but there were still those that made fun of her look.
She was okay with how her life was.
But if there was a god or gods, they did not like her. Tragedy is what they live for, and they didn't care of the target of the tragedy.
Her final day of normalcy was ended when one boy decided to pick on her. He hated her abnormalities and took it upon himself to "fix" her. So the boy would throw paint at her. She would play that off and chase her "friends" in a game of tag. Marking her targets. Seeing as that didn't work, the boy decided to take a more hands-on approach.
With the help of some jealous girl. They would hold Rainmaker down while the boy would remove her "extras" with some scissors. Rainmaker struggled as the boy and girls laughed at her. Her struggling caused the boy to cut her hair.
Angered, the boy punched Rainmaker. She froze at the sensation of pain. But regained her senses when metal touched her skin, her fear caused her to use her quirk. Harming her captor and torturer.
The girl was taken by the police. Normally, an accidental use of quirks of a child would lead to the child to be scolded and sent home. But Rainmaker harmed her classmates and gave them third degree burns. One girl has burns that covered her arms. The second one lost an arm. The boy looked as if half of his face had been melted. He would live but it would be difficult for him to live a normal life.
Her parents came to take her out. Or one would think that was why her mother was there.
The woman glared at her daughter. The woman was the only one at home when the call was made. The woman answered it and left, never informing her husband.
Once she arrived, she just glared at the girl. The room was quiet.
"Why did I give birth to you?" was all the woman said before leaving her daughter there.
