A Letter to My Daughter,

Although you have not yet spoken a word to me I know we will be alike. Being able to share stories to you, entertaining you with all the fun sounds I can make, and passing down my humor; all things I planned to share with you. I hope you will love me unconditionally like how I already feel towards you. We will have arguments and disagreements; as to be expected when you reach your teenage years. And we will not always see eye to eye, even though I will do whatever it takes to always feel your love.

Nothing will stop me from loving you.

I look into your deep ocean blue eyes you got from me. I wonder what you see of me when you stare back never breaking your gaze.  I will never know; so this is what I see when I look at you. Your  thick hair shines in the sunlight, blond and curly like my wife’s. I knew from the strong stare you held that you would be smart, focused, and organized like me. With the small smile always brightening your face I knew you would be funny, hopefully we would share the same sense of humor. I never wanted to see your lips turned down, and I would do whatever it took to keep that from happening.

I love you and will continue loving you throughout your life.

I will be there for you and I will never leave.

However you turned out I would love you.

  My baby girl.
