By the time the limo pulled into a long gravel driveway Kyubey had almost began to fall asleep in her seat. It was a long day and it was now late at night. But her eyes wondered out the window and they widened slightly when she saw the gorgeous mansion that the limo stopped in front of. "Holy shit.." she spoke softly looking up at the house in awe.
Is this really where he lives?! I'll never get out of here will I then?
She thought not noticing that Touya had glanced at her, holding back a smile. Her eyes were wide and she didn't notice but her tails were puffing up in excitement. The front yard, though dark showcased a silent pond, the water rippling and glowing with lights. There was a bridge that connected one side of the house to the other and main hall with large stone columns.
She could make out flowers and trees surrounding the huge manor as well as a few guards posted outside.
Touya led her over the bridge and toward the front door, which opened for him almost immediately.
They entered and Kyubey wanted to be upset, but the house was even prettier inside it seemed with grand halls and chocolate brown wood floors. Touya stepped out of his shoes and she found herself doing the same.
"This way." he remarked and she followed quietly behind him as he led her up a pair of stone steps and into another hall that was darker in color with lanterns lighting their way. He stopped at a wood door and opened it, motioning her inside.
"This is your room. My room is down the hall. My study is on the main floor. I'm sure you're tired most likely so you can get undressed and I'll just let you borrow a shirt until we go shopping." he said as she looked around. Their eyes met and she looked away, her blood boiling as she clenched her fists.
"Can't you just let me go?" she asked again, and he shook his head. "I told you, I can't do that." stated Touya and she didn't know why but she marched up to him and slapped him, hard.
"How can you try be nice when you bought me from a fucking auction?! You think I'd just be okay with this?" she snapped and Touya rubbed his face gently, ignoring her angry stare.
"Of course not. I'm not stupid. But I'd think you'd be more grateful I didn't toss you into the fucking basement and leave you to get raped or beaten by some sick fuck. But yeah, I get why you're mad. I would be too..but I'm not in this situation." he replied quietly and she just stared him down refusing to be swayed by his words.
He sighed, obviously tired and walked past.
"You won't be able to run away, nothing around my land but trees and dirt. There are guards and I have dogs that would definitely attack since they don't know you. So I suggest getting a goodnight's sleep." he said and she opened her mouth, only to close it when he left, slamming the door behind him.
He winced and sighed again. "She hits hard." he muttered as he tried to contain his anger. Touya went to his own room and looked through his drawer, finding a black dress shirt, then left his room and came back down the hall.
He could hear sniffling as he approached the door and he paused.
He knocked on the door and the sniffling stopped. It was quiet, then seconds later she opened the door, glaring at him. "Goodnight Kyubey." he stated, handing her his shirt and she scoffed, closing the door in his face. He rolled his eyes and yawned again, ready to sleep.
Kyubey heard his retreating footsteps and immediately sat back down on the bed, tears forming in her eyes.
"I don't want to be here." she whispered to herself, her lips quivering and she tried her best to hold back any noises. She sat there crying silently for awhile before she finally stood up and got out of the clothes she wore, putting on the shirt he had given her. Why does it have to smell like him? She thought going to wash off the makeup, then she climbed into bed holding one of the pillows close to her chest as she soon drifted off to sleep.
