Deep Regret

Mina had witnessed the entire thing and knew what had happened, but made Mika tell her everything. "You shouldn't have made a promise you can't keep, Mika" Mina said holding her friend closely. "Not because of Deku, but because of yourself. This is your life too, Mika. You deserve to live just as happily as Deku. It's not your fault that Bakugo didn't think this all the way through".

"Stop it, Mina. Stop trying to make me feel better. I probably just ruined my brother's first relationship over a blowjob. How am I supposed to tell him? Writing it down seems like a cowardly thing to do".

"How about I record you? If Deku sees how sorry you are, maybe he won't hate you. Just tell him how you've been feeling and what led up to it. Mika, remember that Deku loves you, but he needs to hear the truth".

Deku woke the next morning feeling extra tired. His eyes felt swollen and he had a bad headache. Taking a shower helped him perk up, but he definitely needed a cup of coffee. When he got to the kitchen, he found Kiri and Mina both looking at him nervously. "What? Why are you looking at me that way? Did something bad happen?".

"Sit down, Deku" Kiri said gently. He handed Deku a cup of coffee and sat down across from him at the kitchen table. "Something bad did happen and you need to be prepared to hear it".

"You're sscaring me, Kiri" Deku stammered. He didn't like the looks of nervous pity on their faces. "Just spit it out! What happened?".

"I think Mika should explain it to you" Mina said as she picked up her phone from the counter. She pushed play and handed her phone over to Deku.

"Deku, let me tell you first of all that I love you and I never meant to hurt you. You mean everything to me. I've been feeling lonely and a bit starved for touch. It's been a long time since I've been held, so I let this hot guy at the bar make out with me. Shit, shit, shit. I'm sorry Deku!" Mika was sobbing hard. "Kacchan walked in while the guy was going down on me. I'm so sorry!".

Deku didn't want to hear anymore. He stopped the recording and walked over to his own phone. No messages or texts from Katsuki. "Did he break up with me?".

"No" replied Mina. "But he said he needed time to think".

Deku laughed sadly. "We all know what that means". He walked around the kitchen rubbing his arms roughly. "She really did it this time. She really fucked me over really good". He turned and looked at his friends "I was in love for the first time!" his voice wracked in angry sorrow. "He loved me! Introverted, damaged, nerdy me! She took him away from me! I hate her! I hate h...". Suddenly, Deku collapsed on the floor. Kiri and Mina rushed over, worried that he might have hurt himself in the fall.

After inspecting Deku's body, Kiri picked him up and laid him gently on the sofa. "Mina, call Dr. Todoroki. He wanted to be told if something like this happened. Shit. This is bad".

Mina punched in the number she knew by heart and waited anxiously for the doc to pick up.

"Mina? What's going on?" Shoto was surprised to hear from his patient's friend. She could only be calling because something traumatic must have happened to Mika or Deku.

"It's bad Doc, can you come over? Deku fainted".

"Fainted? Is he still unconscious or has he woken up?".

"He's still out. Doc, Bakugo walked in on Mika getting oral from some random guy at the club".

"Oh no" Todoroki sighed heavily. "Let me cancel my appointments and I'll be right there". Shoto hung up and rubbed his forehead. "I was afraid of this. All the progress that Deku has made could be wiped out. Shit. This isn't good. Mika! Dammit!".
