the hooded man

As the sun sets and the moon rises

A hooded man sits on the horizon

The velvet of his gloves are crimson red

For every night i have bled

His hood hides his face

I recon its a disgrace

For him to hide is features

From unknown lurking creatures

I have met him every night

To my delight

Under the willow tree he waits

He waits until we meet or its up to fait

To bring us close

He holds a blood red rose

As he waits for me

As i walk up the side of the hill

I got a big thrill

For he held out the rose

And started to propose

My hand went to my eyes

For i started to cry

I took the rose

And yes is what i chose

I fell into his arms

No that i felt calm

He pulled back his hood

And then i understood

His eyes were a vibrant shade of icy blue

And his hair was black as it grew

Over his eyes grew brighter every time i saw him

I had to give him a shim

Just to see him

But now love is his only price
