Chapter Five: John the Serial Killer

"Damn. Your brother's hot." Avery bluntly says as she stares at Teddy from afar while shoving popcorn down her throat. "Forget the movie, let's just watch him." She stares seductively at Teddy, and I look over at the living room and see Teddy playing x-box mindlessly.

"You realize he is my brother?" I ask her as I try to clean the coke I just spilt because of Avery lack of filtering about my brother's appearance.

"Yeah. I just figured since we haven't developed a close relationship yet that I still have the ability to talk about your brother's hotness before we become best-friends and it becomes a form of incest. I just want to get it out in the open before it becomes a weird incest relationship." I just stare at her because I have never meant someone as blunt as this girl. Avery was honestly the sweetest person, but she didn't understand the concept of not talking.

"Are you telling me that you want to go out with my twin, so in a weird delusional way you wanna go out with me?" I point out. Avery shakes her head defending her stance.

"First off you are fraternal twins, but if I was a boy I would totally tap you no homo. However, I just want to keep my options open." I just laugh. I didn't care if she went out with Teddy while we were friends because Teddy should have the ability to date whoever he wants. "Look if you do try to date my brother I just don't want to be there for your googily eye moments." Avery gave me a devilish smile.

"No promises. He is a guy and I am pretty hot. He probably can't control his hormones." I just cover my ears.

"Okay that's all about this conversation. No more talking about my brother and his hormones." She just shrugs.

"I am just saying our relation is not love, but hormones if we do go out." She then grabs her box of popcorn. "Okay let's watch this movie." It was the night of the bonfire and Avery decided to show up to my house after school, and since Denzel and Chad, unfortunately weren't going to come over until eight thirty, we decided to watch a movie.

Mulan.

I know I said I didn't watch Disney movies, but Mulan wasn't any Disney movie. It was a movie about empowerment. The feminist ideal to be independent and have inner strength.

"Teddy move your fat ass off the couch." Teddy rolls his eyes before yelling into his game headset.

"Yeah guys I have to go. My annoying sister and her friend need the T.V." He paused for a second listening to the other people on the other side before responding. "Okay John, tell Amy I said hi." He closed the game control before turning around.

"Who's Amy?" I ask him falling on the couch.

"John's wife."

"Who is John?"

"Some guy." My eyes widen.

"You can't just talking to random people Teddy they could be serial killers." Teddy just shakes it off and agrees with my statement.

"Hey we are playing a game where we are killing people, so I wouldn't be surprise if he was."

"Teddy!" I start giving him a lecture about stranger danger before Avery decided to cut me off.

"Do you want to be my John, Teddy? Because I can be your Amy." We both stop talking and just stare at Avery who sits there gawking at Teddy like a piece of meat.
