You groaned as you groggily opened your eyes, you went to touch your neck and winced when you grazed your fingers over it. You tried to stand up but instead found yourself chained up; in the same position you had Annie.

You struggled, trying to break the chains off the wall but it wouldn't budge causing you to sigh and just sit there. You remembered Annie's face, how it looked when she laughed like a crazy person. Her eyes...her eyes had hidden insanity in them and you cursed yourself for not realizing this sooner.

Suddenly, you were very aware of a single pair of eyes watching you. You tensed up and glanced at the staircase where Annie was seen sitting there, staring at you blankly. "What is this, Annie? Why am I chained up? What did you do?" You asked, gesturing to the chains.

"What did I do?" She asked, pointing at herself. Annie chuckled and shook her head, "No, what did you do? You brought this on yourself, Y/n. You forced my hand."

"Unlock these chains, Annie." You slowly widened your eyes in a threatening manner.

Annie got up from the staircase and you thought that she was going to do as you asked but you were wrong. She crouched down to your level and chuckled in disbelief, "You said that you would never do anything to hurt me. And yet, you lied. Why? Y'know, I still feel the effects of the medicine you injected inside me. It hurt like a bitch."

"I told you that I needed to protect you, Annie." You reminded her through gritted teeth.

"Hurting the ones you love to protect them is not love. You weren't protecting me, you were hurting me!" Annie exclaimed, glaring at you through her own widened eyes.

You shook your head with regret written all over your face, "And I am sorry, okay?! I didn't mean to but you were going to leave me."

"No, I wasn't going to leave you. I came back to you. And you still decided to inject whatever shit was in that needle just to keep me here." Annie scoffed in anger.

"Why am I here? Are you going to hurt me as revenge, huh?" You asked, trying to lean in closer to her.

"I should." She said, stepping back away from you. "But I won't because I love you and I don't hurt the ones I love. I'm not you."

Ouch.

You clenched your jaw and harshly pulled the chains causing a small bruise on your wrist to form and a loud rattling noise, "I didn't mean to hurt you! I was protecting you! Okay?! Annie, what the hell is this?! You-Y-You..you're not like this. Okay? I broke you and I intend to fix you. So just...let me go and we can forget this ever happened."

"You didn't break me." She spoke softly. "I was already broken, Y/n. You just opened your heart to me. And you wanna know something? I have always been like this. You just never noticed. I killed Hitch because I wanted to. Im protecting you because I want to. And I know that I didn't kill that police officer."
